Lady Gaga will headline Coachella and people are having mixed reactions to it. After Beyoncé dropped out the Indie, California festival last Thursday. Expectations got the best of us as we waited to know who would replace the pop diva. Finally, on Tuesday, the festival and Lady Gaga made it official.

Gaga made the news official via her social media and cleared up rumors of Rihanna or Daft Punk filling it for Queen Bey. People are really having mixed feelings about it, some are loving it while other…not so much.

Leaving a high performer spot free…

On Thursday, Beyoncé dropped out the huge festival following doctor’s advice. She made the announcement via her production company. Beyoncé, who is pregnant with twins, canceled her participation at the festival following doctor’s advice. The singer could be in her third trimester of pregnancy during the festival, there’s no official nor exact information about it.

The “Formation” singer also announced that she would be reprogrammed for next year festival’s edition as a headliner, which was a happy news for fans and followers. Beyoncé headlining the festival was a huge thing since she was the first female to headline it since Björk in 2007.

After Beyoncés announcement, rumors began to run about who could replace the diva. Rumor has it Rihanna or Daft Punk were serious options to headline the two-weekend festival along with Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead.

On Tuesday it was finally announced that the “Joanne” singer will replace Beyoncé in the two weekends of the festival. The producers, Goldenvoice and AEG Live, announced it late on Tuesday and Gaga made it official via  her social media accounts, by sharing the flyer of the event with her name on it!

Gaga is already having a quite busy year, and it’s only March. The singer already headlined the Super Bowl half-time show and now got to headline Coachella, after a ten-year women headliner hiatus.
