Channing Tatum’s Daughter Doesn’t Like Her Dad’s Acting

Little Everly Doesn’t Really Care For The Movie Where Her Parents Met

Channing Tatum admitted that his daughter is not really impressed with his dance moves. The revelation came during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Monday.

Channing was promoting his upcoming movie, ‘Kingsman: The Golden Ring,’ which premieres on Septemeber 22.

Heartbreaking words for a dad

Just like Chris Pratt‘s son wasn’t impressed by his dad being StarLord, Channing Tatum‘s daughter is not impressed by his dance moves or her parent’s ‘Step Up’ movie. The funny yet heartbreaking confession came on Monday, when Channing was, coincidentally, wearing a tie painted by his daughter, Everly, at The Jimmy Kimmel show.

Channing explained that his wife, actress and dancer Jenna Dewan Tatum, and him were really excited about showing the movie to their daughter. But her response was not what they expected.

“We were like, ‘This is going to be really cool,’” Tatum told Kimmel. “‘It’s got dancing, she’s going to love it.’” Unfortunately, little Everly turned out to be one of their toughest critics.

“Within 10 seconds she was like, ‘Can I watch a real movie? I dunno, like a good one?’” Tatum recalled. “And we were like, what do you mean? This is a real movie! It’s such a real movie they made like seven more of these!”

Ultimately, however, Tatum had to give in to his daughter’s demands. “We were like, ‘Fine! Just put on ‘Moana’, I don’t care,'” he admitted. In case you don’t know it, Channing and Jenna met while filming ‘Step Up’, which they both starred. And actually, have their first kiss in the movie.

The ‘Magic Mike‘ star has surely done his research enough to know that he is not the only Hollywood parent whose children disapprove of his films. Earlier this year, Adam Sandler told Ellen DeGeneres that his daughters make it about 20 minutes into his films before requesting another movie.

Tatum will look like e a hot spy in Kingsman’s new delivery

Channing’appearancece on Kimmel’s was part of the promotion of ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle,’ which premieres this fall. The movie is the sequel to the 2014 comedy spy film ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service,’ directed by Matthew Vaughn.

This time, the agents of Kingsman head to the United States to join forces with Statesman, Kingsman’s American counterpart, after Kingsman’s headquarters is destroyed by “The Golden Circle.”

It also stars Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Halle Berry, Elton John, Channing Tatum, and Jeff Bridges. The actor was at the Comic-Con promoting the movie and also talked about his upcoming role as Gambit.

He cited ‘Logan‘ and ‘Deadpool‘ as inspiration and said working on Gambit had been an interesting challenge. “It’s fun, it’s good, it’s like trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube that’s always moving,” he said. “These things, they’re hard, they’re tough.”

Tatum will next be seen in ‘Logan Lucky‘, out this month.
