John Krasinski declares himself a fan of the movie where he fell in love with his wife Emily Blunt
The Devil Wears Prada Love!
The beautiful couple formed by John Krasinski and Emily Blunt confess a few things in a TV show. The actor confesses to having “cast his eye” on his wife for years before becoming a couple. The two got married in 2010 and are the parents of two beautiful daughters. Recently they were interviewed on The Graham Norton Show to promote their new movie: A Quiet Place and there they talked a little about how they started this love story.
Krasinski confessed to being an admirer of Emily Blunt before he met formally. “I was completely harassed,” he said on The Graham Norton Show, forming his fingers like a pair of binoculars. “I was like, ‘Hey, you want to go out with me?”
Everything starts in a restaurant
Emily Blunt said a week ago on the Late Night With Seth Meyers show that she and her husband saw each other for the first time in a restaurant. How romantic! She said that a mutual friend she was having dinner with saw him and introduced them both. Blunt said that Krasinski was in the company of Justin Theroux at that time and left the actor for a brief moment only to talk to her. Isn’t that cute?
Throughout the Graham Norton Show, the host Graham Norton asked Krasinski how many times he has enjoyed The Devil Wears Prada, the film based on one of the most iconic icons of fashion such as Anna Wintour that is starring Blunt and Anne Hathaway representing the assistance of the character of Meryl Streep, editor of one of the most famous fashion magazines.
Can anyone guess how many times this actor has seen the movie? “Give or receive, 72,” Krasinski said (that´s a real fan of this movie)
He said he usually runs into the movie while changing the channel LOL.
“There’s a kind of montage sequence where Annie Hathaway has a lot of fabulous sets going by and John one day, I came home and he was watching it and I was watching the montage, but he says ‘that’s my favorite outfit’,” Blunt said.
“Well, I could not catch Annie, and then I was like …” Krasinski joked.
The Devil Wears Prada returns to the big screen?
Blunt also makes public what he thinks of doing the second installment of this great movie. No doubt this story is one of the things that doesn’t just pass away. This success of 2006 was incredible, everyone had to do with this, fashion fanatics LOVE this great work. But, at least one person involved in the project doesn’t believe that a sequel is a good idea.
“I almost hope it does not [happen] because I think sometimes when you visit, everything dilutes the original,” she said.
We have all taken disappointments with sequels, this implies that sometimes it is not a good idea. That said, Blunt acknowledged that if all his co-stars were in agreement to bring this story back, she would join them!
“If everyone did, I would be willing to do it,” she admitted.
The Devil Wears Prada introduced some of the people who are now her best friends, so she wouldn’t let this opportunity pass, even though she does not agree with a sequel. Who wouldn’t like to relive those memories with such glamour? A classic for those who follow fashion and likes movies with style. More movies like this, please!
