Kim Zolciak hired legal counsel to seek legal action against ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ co-star NeNe Leakes. Zolciak’s move comes after getting in a social media feud and Leakes accused her of being “racist.”
Leakes recently made headlines for aking a controversial raping comment during her stand-up comment.
Lawyering up in the feud
During Tuesday’s night appearance on ‘Larry King Now,’ Kim Zolciak revealed she sought for legal counsel following the bitter social media feud with co-star NeNe Leakes.
“She put #KKK on the Instagram post. It’s just that bad. It’s inappropriate. In this day and age, people are dying over racism,” she said.
“I’m on a show with all African-American women, and I’m the only one that’s ever been on the show that’s Caucasian, so it’s the card that sometimes they play, and it’s gross. And I won’t allow it.”
“I don’t think she’s in the right frame of mind at this stage of the game. But I’m an adult and I can handle myself. I don’t have anything to say, and I won’t again,” she went on explaining her decision.
Zolciak also added that Hollywood legal heavyweight Singer “does not play.”
In another interview, the reality star went on explaining what made her take the decision.
“I don’t take this lightly. It’s one thing like I said to kind of banter back and forth and have an opinion,” she said to E!’s on Tuesday.
“This is far beyond just having an opinion.”
While the legal drama evolves, the pair will eventually have to come face-to-face to film the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ reunion show.
Leaving all the drama behind, the sixth season of Zolciak’s reality show, ‘Don’t Be Tardy’, will definitely be filled with much happier moments. Like her vow renewal with husband Kroy Biermann.
“This season’s really great. We do renew our vows, which is so beautiful.”
“We didn’t have our vows written. It was very chaotic,” she confessed of the ceremony.
The ceremony took place just after son Kash’s traumatic dog bite. “It ended up having way more meaning than we ever anticipated.”
Feuding over a roach
The incident that made Zolciak take legal action began on Thursday, October 5. A Snapchat video previously recorded by Zolciak’s daughter surfaced, showing roaches on the floor of Leakes’ bathroom.
Leakes posted the video to her Instagram account, writing, “We don’t have roaches! If you found 1, u brought it with u or it fell outta yo funky p—y! Please know I will get You all the way together when you start f–king wit me and mine!”
“My home is Brand New but you guys were so jealous of it. You couldn’t even give a compliment,” she added.
“You had to stoop so low and be so disgusting #racisttrash #jealous #KKK #thirsty. Better run yo ass back to a child’s place #youwannaactgrown?”
Zolciak responded with an Instagram post of her own, writing,
“Everyone in my life knows that I am far from racist and unfortunately NeNe Leakes has tried for the last 10 years to paint that picture because that’s her last resort. (It’s convenient that I’m not racist when we are getting along.)”
And so it goes all the drama.
If you’re up to see more of NeNe Leakes and her co-stars, including Kandi Burruss, Kim Zolciak, Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams, Sheree Whitfield, Kenya Moore, and Eva Marcille, tune into the premiere of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Season 10 on November 5 on Bravo TV.
Apologizing for controversial comments
Zolciak’s legal action over Leakes comes one day after Leakes apologized for making a controversial comment about a heckler at her recent stand-up comedy show.
Leakes made headlines on Saturday when she called out a female heckler while onstage for the ‘Girls Nite Out for Laughs’ stand-up comedy show at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, California.
After getting booed by the crowd, Leakes told the woman she hoped her Uber driver would rape her on the way home.
“I ain’t even gonna get to tell you about the God d–n Uber driver. I hope he rape yo ass tonight when he takes you home, bitch,” she controversially said.
“And steal yo’ funky hello kitty, b**ch.”
The ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star took to Facebook on Monday to apologize for her choice of words.
“I truly regret and apologize for what I said from the stage in Oakland over the weekend. Sometimes words can cut deep and hurt when you have no intentions of them doing so,” she wrote.
“As a woman and someone who has survived abuse, I regret the words that I used. I made a mistake and I should have known better. I’m hoping people accept my deepest and sincerest apologies. I am sorry.”
Unfortunately, Leakes has been making the headlines and a lot of drama quite a bit this month.
