“Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on Titanic, which was one of the most rewarding of my career,” said Cameron.

“I can’t wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life.”

The original movie, released in 2009, starred Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Giovani Ribisi.

Strange place to keep her Oscar

The actress has revealed that she keeps her Oscar trophy in her “loo” to allow people the chance to have some alone time with the special gong.

During an interview for the promotion of her new movie ‘The Mountains Between Us’, the ‘Titanic’ star said, “That’s the reason for it being in the toilet. I wanted to give people an opportunity to have that moment.”

The actress also shared that she got the idea from Oscar-winner Emma Thompson, who placed her trophy at the back of the loo.

“I remember when I went to Emma Thompson’s house when I was much younger and didn’t have an Oscar. Her Oscar was on the back of the loo and I picked it up, and then years later I was giving my own speech. I couldn’t believe it. Never give up on your dreams,” noted Winslet.

In the interview, Winslet also talked about her relationship with friend Leonardo DiCaprio.

While their characters might have been deeply in love 20 years back in ‘Titanic,’ in real life, Kate and Leo are just really friends.

“For Leo and I, I think it was seven months of very intense work. We were both really very young, and luckily, and this is the fortunate thing, we never fancied each other. I know that’s really annoying to hear, I’m sorry, but we really never did.”
