Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler in the acclaimed Netflix series ‘Stranger Things,’ was invited by Mac DeMarco to join him onstage during a performance in Atlanta on Saturday night (May 20).
To the Wolfhard, it’s not enough to be a worldwide acclaimed actor and a Screen Actors Guild Award winner at age 14. He also has some very nice guitar skills. So nice that Mac DeMarco brought him onstage on his Saturday night gig at The Tabernacle to play the guitar on “Still Together.”
The actor went with his Netflix co-star Natalia Dyer, who recorded the wild show – way too wild if you consider that DeMarco makes really chill beach rock.
In one clip, we get to see Wolfhard doing some hard shredding that has an exorcist effect on DeMarco, while in the other he shows off playing a number of guitar riffs alongside the band while the ‘Salad Days’ creator takes a refreshing stage dive.
Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington in the series, was also there and did some stage diving, too.
At one point, Wolfhard even got on DeMarco’s shoulders and played from there
The young actor is a big fan of DeMarco and has even shared a cover of one of his songs
Last year, Wolfhard made public his Mac DeMarco fandom in style. Sometime after sharing online a guitar cover for Nirvana’s “Lithium,” he published another video showing off his guitar skills, playing DeMarco’s ‘Salad Days’ title track.
