It’s all fun and laughter until someone messes it up with their outfit. The 2017 Billboard Music Awards’ pink carpet saw stunning and gorgeous looks, but also many others that were either boring, misplaced or just senseless.
Yes, we do applaud taking risks. It’s better than a recurrent all-black outfit – right, Noah Cyrus? But honestly, sometimes celebrities just make the wrong choice and they have to deal with that. Maybe next time they’ll do better. For now, check out who missed the mark at the BBMA 2017.
5. Jason Derulo
Ok, so, let’s see what’s happening here. First of all, it’s hot outside, velvet is just not the right choice. Actually, this jacket will never be the right choice to leave your house, Jason, please keep it to yourself.
4. Halsey
We can’t say Halsey didn’t try because she did, she really did. It’s just that she wasn’t accurate with the choices she made. That grandma bra could have been a cute crop top, and I’m sure there are many sandals on Earth to pick the ones that look like home phone wires wrapped around your legs.
3. Noah Cyrus
Miley Cyrus’ little sister doesn’t look exactly bad. The lace garments are O.K. It’s just that we saw her wearing the exact same formula – black crop top over black pants – about three weeks ago at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. We know that you can be bolder than this, Noah, let your style shine!
2. Rita Ora
Ora’s outfit is supposed to be an homage to Cher and her history with thongs, which is a nice idea. I can tell you, from the back it looks neat. But she didn’t quite make it, maybe because of that top. It’s a cute top, but it doesn’t match the idea because it looks too heavy with all that ensemble.
1. Z LaLa and Dencia
I couldn’t decide between these two, so let’s call it a tie. Z LaLa and Dencia really went nuts when picking what to wear. Z LaLa’s outfit comes as no surprise since the 24-year-old is constantly sporting these outrageous costumes. This time her hair is a giant balloon and her dress is like a trash bag full of holes. I don’t quite get the joke, sorry. As for Denia, she’s always flamboyant and exaggerated with her outfits, but this one crossed the line. Just look at that headpiece! Everything is wrong. So wrong.
