This Year’s London Fashion Week was the perfect opportunity for Donatella Versace to show out her new AW2017 collection during her catwalk show that took place on February 18th.Among the supermodels that opened and closed the show, there were some interesting items that stood out such as thongs and chokers that highlighted the Versace show.
Putting the thong back in style
“The thong is coming back in style,” Donatella warned us. She said that we should prepare our peach emoji because this season she was setting back to the thong style. After the well received Calvin Klein campaign #MyCalvins, Versace had not doubt in spicing the competence up a little bit or maybe a little bit too much, I might say.
A punk-goth makeover for Gigi
Gigi Hadid was the model responsible for opening the radical and fearless Versus show, she went from a Californian golden girl to a futuristic vixen look. After her designer facet, she is back to do her daily job of showcasing her signature walk down Versace’s AW17 show, she rocked her sensational figure as she sashayed down the runway in a slinky semi-sheer dress with eye-catching detail around the neckline.
Thongs up!
There was also Stella Maxwell, the Victoria’s Secret beauty who emerged midway through modeling a cropped fuzzy sweater and a branded Versus panty line. But if you are the kind of person who prefers to keep your underwear inside your pants, you can try another Donatella revival: the belly chain.
Chokers are still rocking
Last but not least, Donatella confirmed that chokers are still in, they were tied to some of the super models that walked down the runway like Bella and Gigi Hadid, Adwoa Aboah and Korean Top Model star Sora Choi.
Gigi’s little sister, Bella flaunted her taut stomach in a daring faux fur crop top and she slipped into a racy double slit sequin skirt that showcased her Versace Versus strappy sandals, too. She was the chosen girl to close the show, so she took to the catwalk with confidence at made a great finale.
