Barack Obama Learning How To Kitesurf While On Vacation It's Everything And More.

On Saturday, former president Barack Obama, kitesurfed with his buddy Richard Branson while hanging in his post-presidential break. Barack and Michelle Obama dropped by the Virgin British Islands to enjoy the last part of their vacation.

Barack shared an afternoon full of fun and water sports while hanging out with Virgin Group’s founder, Richard Branson. The former president proved he’s down for everything, even extreme sports.

Following Trump’s Inauguration, former president Barack Obama and his family headed to a well deserved two-week getaway. The vacation started in Palm Springs, California and concluded in the British Virgin Islands.

Barack and Michelle Obama arrived in the islands to spend a full weekend with friend Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group.

As you can see the former president and first lady looked pretty casual. They also look really well-rested and happy. You can’t help but notice the total absence of the White House’ secret service. Oh, the freedom.

Extreme Obama hits the water

During the trip, Barack and Richard came up with a little challenge. They competed to see who could stay up the longest on their kitesurf boards. On the last day, Obama won!

Rooting for you buddy!

Branson wrote on his blog, “We were neck and neck until the last run on the last day, when I got up on the foil board and screamed along for over 50 meters, three feet above the water. I was feeling very pleased with myself, only to look over and see Barack go 100 meters on his kiteboard! I had to doff my cap to him and celebrate his victory.”

Barack Obama’s vacation has resulted in a complete getaway for the former president. After two terms in the White House, the vacation is clearly well deserved and Obama seems to really enjoy his carefree period.
