To us geeks, here’s nothing cooler than a themed bar. We’ve seen from music bands to comic books and movies, even Christmas 24/7. Well, Drink Company just made out dreams come true. Wubba Lubba Dub PUB is a Rick and Morty themed pop-up bar that will run in Washington, DC from August 9 through October 6.
We believe this is definitely an experience every Rick and Morty fan will enjoy. Just picture it: characters, references, Easter eggs, jokes. Everything in one place. Where the fandom can coexist and have an amazing time.
“The incredible artists working on this project wanted to build an altar to a show that’s brought them and countless others so much joy. You can see our fandom and our love for the series in every amazing detail” said Angie Fetherston, Drink Company CEO and fan of the show.
A pub divided in three
A Cygnus-5 area (yeah, from the Cromulon Dimension. The one with the floating heads from Get Schwifty). Anatomy Park, because it’s time we finally get to enjoy it, since it never actually opened. And Farmer Rick’s Mega Tree farm from Dimension 35-C.
The most interesting thing is the fact that there are two ways of getting in. You can go dressed as you would normally dress for a night out. Or you could go as a Rick and get in faster. Plus, “costumed Ricks will enter into the family’s garage-turned-lab outfitted with an old washer and dryer plus shelves of scientific equipment. On the ceiling, you’ll find ‘real fake doors‘ and ‘plumbus’ advertised on inter-dimensional cable”
Oh, and by the way, the Cygnus-5 expanse will have a giant animatronic Cromulon saying things like “show me what you got” and “disqualified”! Probably both awesome and annoying at the same time. Of course, there will be life-sized Meeseeks behind the bar, on the verge of a nervous breakdown, for they have lived way too long.
And this pub has all kinds of Rick and Morty themed drinks. You have “Morty’s Mind Blower” (rosé, strawberry Campari, blanc vermouth, and sparkling water), “Get Schwifty” (tequila, St. Germain, watermelon, lime and salt), “Existence Is Pain” (gin, blanc vermouth, Blue Curacao, coconut water, lemon and absinthe), “Pickle Rick Backs” (Old Grand-Dad whiskey and Gordy’s pickle brine), and many many more!
