Oh, I didn’t see that coming.

On Tuesday night, three different spots in New York displayed a cartoon of Putin caressing a very impregnated Trump *shocking*. On the corner of the 15th Street and Ninth Avenue, at the 14th Street and Eighth Avenue, and at North Sixth Street and Wythe Avenue.

The projections were coordinated by Hater, the dating app that matches people with other users based on things they both hate. After all, we also bond with people over things we dislike, and who knows maybe it helps you find love.

#Love Through Hate.

Yes, the images are disturbing but you gotta admit is a great advertisement. Turns out 80% of Hater users, meaning 200,000 users, agree they “hate” Trump. The company made something good with this data.

The political situation is tense with Trump’s administration’s executive orders and announces and also with external affairs being in the spotlight for rumors and scandals. Knowing this the company aimed to make everybody laugh no matter which side they’re on.

The company decided to turn things to their favor and hopefully, they caused laughs among people as they intended. Brendan Alper, Hater’s CEO said “We’re just trying to make people laugh. Through humor, hate can turn into love.”

Share the love!
