Finn Will Be A Real Badass

Star Wars is turning 40 and to celebrate it they’re doing tons of cool stuff. They’ve released a video to commemorate the great and late Carrie Fisher, and an upcoming animated short series called Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, focusing on the female characters of the saga.

Also, they’re releasing contest alongside a charity where fans can win incredible prices, and a four days convention. In this epic convention, called Star Wars Celebration, many of the details of what awaits for the future of the franchise.

Upcoming chapter

The Star Wars Celebration fan gathering is taking place Orlando, FL. Were some epic videos and news of the saga have been revealed. One is the five minutes video commemorating and honoring the great Carrie Fisher, that really makes our eyes flood. While also Lucas took the chance to praise Fisher, at a career and personal level. Even calling her “the boss,” as well her daughter Billie Lourd gave some words about her mother and her funny yet hard personality.

Besides that, some awesome things of the next chapter of the saga “The Last Jedi,” have been released. As the trailer of the movie was released on the convention. We see Luke in the clip talking way more than in the previous episode. Also, we get some scenes of the epic battles that we will be watching. Along with Rey discovering some Jedi secrets and how to use the force.

Adding also that they revealed the poster of the new movie. That has a very vintage aesthetics, emulating one the first and most iconic posters of the saga. Maybe honoring the 40th birthday?

Also, the guys from Lucasfilm introduced us Kelly Marie Tran to the crew and the story. As she will be Rose, a maintenance worker in the Resistance. Director Rian Johnson also revealed that she has one of the biggest roles in the upcoming film. “She’s not a soldier, she’s not looking to be a hero, and she gets pulled into this adventure in a big way with Finn.”

Star Wars Celebration for real

The first day of the Star Wars Celebration also included many convention classics. Like cosplays, speeches from the actors and creators, games, screenings, games and more. Besides that, they gave us some specific information of “The Last Jedi.” As film’s director explained what the First Order has planned for the movie. “They’re making big moves at the start of the film. Things are going to get dire.”

As Johnson continued to reveal more and more of the latest chapter of Star Wars he warned us that this time Finn will be even more badass. “He’s in recovery, but he will be in ‘The Last Jedi’ and he’s not playing this time”. All of this teamed up with Poe Dameron and his hilarious droid sidekick BB-8.

Johnson also added that in this chapter we will know more about Rey, besides the process of her turning into a truly Jedi knight. As all sources of conspiracy theories about her came through. Is she a Skywalker? Is she related to Obi-Wan? or is she the galaxy’s last Jedi?

But it was Daisy Ridley, the actress who plays Rey, the one in charge of going deeper on what happens to her character in the next film, after avoiding all the previous questions. “We go deeper into Rey’s story. Rey has a certain expectation of what she might be getting from Luke and what that might entail and, as a lot of people may know, it’s difficult when you meet your hero because it might not be what you expect.” “The Last Jedi” will be released in cinemas on December 15th of this year.The Star Wars Celebration has been really a treat for any fan of the franchise, and it’s only Day 1.
