2016 strikes again, the year took our iconic Princess Leia. On Tuesday, the legendary Star Wars’ actress passed away just four days after suffering from a heart attack at the age of 60. The iconic actress is survived by her mother and her daughter.
Well known for her honesty and speaking her mindt, Carrie Fisher will be missed. The iconic Princess Leia will be remembered for her roles in the Star Wars’ series and her truth-telling books.
Hollywood Royalty.
Born in California in 1956, Fisher was a Hollywood Royalty child. She was the daughter of singer Eddie Fisher and actress Debbie Reynolds. The couple split when Carrie was just two years old after her father left her mother for actress Elizabeth Taylor. At that time it was a huge scandal.
Often in the spotlight.
After her parents’ divorce, Carrie was often surrounded by the showbiz scandals and attention, turning to books as a way to escape the situation, she eventually became the family’s bookworm. She enjoyed reading classics and poetry. This would influence her in her career as a writer.

Carrie made her first debut as an actress when she was 15 years old. In 1973 revival of the Broadway musical “Irene” along with her mother.

Carrie, who lived a life of struggle with bipolar disorder and substance abuse, found her voice in writing. In 2011 her memoirs “Wishful Drinking” were turned into a play and in 2011 an HBO special.

In interviews, Fisher often talked in an ambiguous way of Princess Leia, referring to her as a loner. But in the most recent delivery of the series, she seemed to make peace with her on-screen alter ego. Attributing the success of the series to the fact that is all about family.

Carrie is survived by her mother, and her daughter “Scream Queens” actress Billie Lourd.
