Katy Perry is having lots of fun with her new hair. On Friday, the Chained to the Rythm singer took her Instagram account to share a picture of herself channeling a Kim Kardashian look, and she nailed it.
The singer has experienced a rebirth recently. Earlier this year, she debuted new music which is quite political and has been experiencing with style. We’re still waiting for her album, tho.

Katy Perry has proven she’s a complete chameleon with her recent experiments when it comes to her looks, the singer definitely keeps surprising us with something new each week.First, she dyed her locks to bleach blonde color and wore the new color in a pixie haircut. But then, when we were getting used to her new blonde hair, she went into an extreme makeover.
The singer took her transformation a step further with an even shorter and shaved cut style, which she really rocked.Even when some people thought her new look was slightly similar to Justin Bieber’s or Eminem’s, the singer realized she actually looked like Guy Fieri.
After noticing this she took to Instagram to celebrate National Look-A-Like Day, on Thursday, April 20, in a funny way. The pop diva channeled Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives’ host by going for his signature look: spiked blonde tips, big black sunglasses, and his gold hoop earring.
Katy Perry’s hair made the news again last week when she once decided to channel another famous look. This time she rocked a Kardashian inspired look, with all her glam look. It was no less that the Kardashian braid.
In the Instagram post, the singer wore a wig with two blonde braids and a baby pink bodycon dress. The look was completed with flawless makeup and all the Katy-meets-Kardashians attitude.
The singer properly captioned the post “Katy Kardashian”. This way she claimed herself just another glam-clam member, and to be honest she looks like one.
Katy tagged all the members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan in the picture and got likes from Kylie, Khloé, and Kim. Kim and Khloé even commented some fire and hearts emojis.
Perry is a self-declared fan of the Kardashians. In 2015, during the Met Gala, she professed her love for them. She said, “Listen, Kris Jenner is very important to me, that is not sarcastic at all. She has a great sense of humor and she’s kind of like the mother of everyone.”
Then she added, “I was thinking the other day, we’ve all had our own commentary on the Kardashians, but if they hadn’t existed, we wouldn’t have had the fantastic Bruce Jenner who is just evolving everybody right now with all of his wonderfulness. So, the Kardashians in my book are completely valid.”
A whole new direction for Katy Perry
Katy Perry is on the cover of Vogue magazine for the second time. The entertainer is on the May issue of the fashion magazine and in the interview, she discussed this whole new direction she’s following.
Katy is well aware of the role of fashion for an individual, she said, “Fashion is just a language, it’s storytelling.”Then she added how amazing is the current moment, “I am so encouraged by the big morph in fashion that’s happening at the moment. Everybody is shape-shifting, changing, adapting.”
The 32-year-old singer knows change is a constant so she’s embracing it and adapting. Not only her style has changed, but her expression as an artist as well.This is all part of her change in perspectives, the pop diva decided to use her voice to address issues with what she calls “purposeful pop.”
Her new single, Chained to The Rhythm, is the perfect example of it. In the single, which is a highly political, the singer puts in evidence the dependency society and how we live in a bubble.She said of her new work, “I think there’s definitely another angle that you have yet to see because I just feel something totally different.”
However, even when the single was a total hit that broke Spotify’s streaming record Katy is not giving us that anticipated Prism follow-up yet.
Katy hasn’t revealed when her new album is dropping and her reason is the following, “I think we are digesting things in bite-size these days and that’s what we can handle. It’s not shaded at all anything like that — you’ll know when it’s shade,” she joked.
“But when someone has a 17 or 19 track album, you’re like, ‘Oh my God, I have to take a trip to Mars to listen to your record in full!’ I mean I love you, you’re my favorite dope artist, but like we want bite size. We, like, only read headlines. We don’t even read the whole story!”
Damn, she’s kinda right. So we better really pay attention to the songs and find the meaning.
