Katy Perry Just Released A Very Trippy ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ Video

It Has A Very Political Message

On Tuesday Katy Perry released her cool video for “Chained To The Rhythm.” Two weeks after she released the trippy song, she graced us with a seriously cool video.

After teasing via social media with sneak peeks of the video during the weekend, we finally got to see the incredible video and we’re now chained to the music.

Chained to the rhythm.

Katy’s back and is back for good. The pop star video of the new single has it all in an incredible amusement park that is so funny it makes you want to escape from reality.  The huge hit was directed by Matthew Cullen and filmed last January at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. The video is a hit with almost five million views.

Welcome to Oblivion.

Katy wonders in a futuristic amusement park where joy is the only mandatory thing. The amusement park seems to come right out of 1950s sci-fi with wild roller coaster flying through the air and more.

Wearing a Judy-Jetson metallic outfit and pink hair Katy forgets about all her problems as she enjoys, or at least tries to, the different attractions.

Dystopian amusement.

While people are having fun in the park, Katy wanders in the happiest place on Earth. Although she looks more reflective than amazed. Of course, the diva is noticing how people is so self-absorbed and confirmed that they simply don’t notice reality.

The incredibly poppy song’s lyrics are a huge and quite clear protest against the political climate. Through the attractions, the singer hints some of the issue, such as the notion of the American dream, clean drinking water, and the nuclear family.

Not so subtle political message.

The singer made it even clearer with the attraction’s names such as “The Great American Dream Drop”, “Inferno H2O,”  and “Safe Trip Home” in which people are thrown away in a catapult.

Skip Marley makes his appearance jumping out of the 3D movie. He takes Katy to enlightenment with these words: “Break down the walls to connect, inspire, up in your high place, liars, time is ticking for the empire.”

Katy is bringing new pop music and is looking good! Less than two weeks ago she released her first single after almost a year and now she delivers its video. The album title and date releasement is still unknown but seems to indicate that is gonna be huge!

The singer made the live performance of the song at the Grammys and it was pretty politically charged.  Damn, the girl delivered.
