Death Wish's First Trailer Is Oficially Here, Take A Look

On Thursday, MGM released the first trailer for the upcoming remake of ‘Death Wish.’ The movie starred Bruce Willis in the role of a revenge vigilante.

The film is set to premiere on November 22.

Bruce Willis is looking full-on vigilante in his new film

Bruce Willis takes on Charles Bronson’s legendary role in ‘Death Wish’ and updates it to a modern version. Like almost everything coming out of Hollywood these days, ‘Death Wish’ is a re-work: the original film, based on Brian Garfield’s novel of the same name, came out in 1974.

But make no mistake, though ‘Death Wish’ is a remake, the movie brings a couple of changes. This time, Bruce Willis takes on the story is set in Chicago, and instead of portraying a cop, Willis plays a trauma surgeon who takes matters into his own hands after his wife and college-age daughter are viciously attacked in their suburban home.

Also starring Vincent D’Onofrio, Dean Norris, Elisabeth Shue, Camila Morrone and Kimberly Elise.

The 2017 remake was directed by renowned filmmaker Tim Roth, whose directing credits include ‘Hostel’, ‘Green Inferno’ and ‘Cabin Fever’. So we can definitely expect a deadly suspense.

Earlier this year, Roth told EW, “Fans of the original will not be disappointed and fans of my films, in particular, will not be disappointed. Bruce Willis really really brings his A-game. I’m so excited for people to see it.”

‘Death Wish’ opens in theaters on Nov. 22.

Hitting the small screen

It’s been quite a year for Roth, not only he came back on ‘Twin Peaks‘ earlier this year and is about to debut a film this fall, but is also taking on the small screen with Amazon. Last month, Amazon acquired Rowan Joffe’s ‘Tin Star’ and Tim Roth is set to feature in the series.

The series is produced by Kudos for Sky Atlantic, is a tale of the corruption of innocence and of murder, grief and all-consuming revenge. It tells the story of Jim Worth, a former British detective now small town police chief who brings his family to the tiny and tranquil town of Little Big Bear for a better life.

Genevieve O’Reilly, Abigail Lawrie, Oliver Coopersmith, Christopher Heyerdahl, Stephen Walters, Ian Puleston-Davies, Roark Critchlow, Sarah Podemski, Ryan Kennedy and Kevin Hanchard all have roles in the series.

Joffe, whose screenwriting credits include ’28 Weeks Later’ and ‘The American’, writes and directs the series.

The series will debut on Sky Atlantic and Amazon Prime Video later this year.
