The Chainsmokers Just Released Their New Paris Video And It’s Crazy Good

I Must Admit The Chainsmokers’ Songs Are My Guilty Pleasure

The Chainsmokers have an official video for their most recent song, Paris. Yet, we don’t see a glimpse of Paris. On Thursday midnight the duo released the video on their official Vevo channel and like the song, the video is a huge success! The lyric video of the song featured social media sensation, Alexis Ren, the official video features another beautiful girl, Martha Hunt, who is apparently daydreaming while the song plays.

Staying in Paris.

The huge hit finally has its video and it really delivered. Martha Hunt wonders in her house while suspended in the air, at the end she has to make a choice because even when a house in the air sounds cool, is really inconvenient. The video already has over 5 million views.

Yearning for another reality.

The Paris video finally arrived and is really good. A woman is desperately sad and wanders in her house until she notices that the house is suspended in the air. While she’s in this Dorothy-ish adventure, the Chainsmokers are walking through a field in LA.

The woman continues her metaphorical absent minded adventure in her house and even enjoys hanging out near the window. Eventually, she jumps out of the window and falls hard…in her bed waking up to her actual reality.

Developing the concept.

The woman happens to be Martha Hunt, a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Martha previously appeared on Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood video.

The pretty cool video was directed by Mister Whitmore, who developed the whole idea of the woman’s fantasy evoking daydreams or a reality different than hers.

Memories: Do Not Open.

“Paris” is the lead single of the Chainsmokers’ upcoming album Memories: Do Not Open. The EDM duo has some new music coming up and for what we can see it’s actually really good. The lead single “Paris” debuted No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 11 Chart.

The video seems to make more sense in the context of the upcoming album. The Chainsmokers shared some information about the upcoming album earlier this week via Twitter, and they specified that the album tells a story. So most probably the next video will be related to “Paris.”
