Watch The Voice Coaches Do The Best Performance Ever Covering TLCs ‘Waterfall’

The Best Performance Ever

Season 12 of the singing competition premiere is on February 27th. The coaches from the tv show The Voice Season 12, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton got together in a chorus harmonies for a live version of TLC‘s hit 1994 ballad, “Waterfalls.”

The video starts with a black & white style. But when the stars start singing their voices bring back the colors. We can also appreciate how the musicians trade off lead vocals on the verses. They join their four magical voices which seem like a real harmony waterfall.

A waterfall of voices

The jam session started with Stefani’s voice. Shelton looked at her in the way all girls want to be looked at. The acoustic guitars are played by Levine and Shelton with Keys on Rhodes piano and guest performers on acoustic bass and cajón.

Girls power

At first Keys and Stefani anchor the track with their vocals, but in the middle of the song these ladies team up to deliver a portion of late rapper Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ verse.

This is how you do it

One of the oldest The Voice’s coaches, Adam Lavine, does the video’s grand finale by adding the following words “I love that, that was it. Whatever that was, that was awesome. That’s how you sing, America!.”
