Who Can Forget This Awkward And Funny Moments?

Each year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hosts an awards ceremony. The Oscars annual ceremony is made to recognize excellence in cinematic achievements in the United States film industry as assessed by the Academy’s voting membership.

Both artists and people all over the world wait anxiously for this event. Yet ratings owe its numbers to the winners of the different nominations, the show, and the red carpet outfits.  Above all that we expect to get new viral moments that we remember forever.

Check out this brief history of the Oscars in viral moments they want you to forget!

5. Roberto Benigni overdoes it, 1999

Roberto Benigni, the director of “Life Is Beautiful,” won the hearts of the world by clambering across the backs of the auditorium’s chairs. The fun part is that after that success, his next film was so creepy that it still has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

4. Nobody claps Jenny Beavan, 2016

The Mad Max: Fury Road costumes made Jenny Beavan win an Oscar, yet nobody clapped her for her award.

3. James Franco dresses as Marilyn Monroe, 2011

This might be considered one of the worst decisions ever. Personal note for the Oscars organizers, “do not let James Franco and Anne Hathaway present the Oscars together.” It was terrible but at the same time kind of funny when Franco appeared on stage dressed up as Marilyn Monroe.

2. Jennifer Lawrence falls over, 2013

Jennifer Lawrence is one of our favorites, she always looks so real, just like us. The main reason of our love for her is that, even when she rocked the American film industry, she’s still funny and humble.Everyone wants to feel identified with their loved stars. Lawrence made that possible by tripping over on a step and falling to the floor in front of the entire world.

1. The return of John Travolta, 2015

He knew the first time had been almost impossible to overcome. So, the second time that Travolta appeared at the Oscars, he gave us not just one but two viral moments that we, unfortunately, will keep in our minds forever.

At first, he kissed Scarlett Johansson and then we watched him grabbing Idina Menzel’s face with slightly too much aggression.
