Meet The Sisters of the Valley: Nuns Growing Blessed Marijuana

The Sisters of the Valley are non-traditional, self-proclaimed nuns. The Merced-based sisters are not Catholic and have a different way of standing for their faith and beliefs, as they are into the cultivation of cannabis for medical purposes.

The products are sold online and blessed by the nuns before delivering. Although they threatened by the city’s laws, they have no intentions of backing off and they plan on fighting whatever intends to make them stop.

These nuns are not ashamed of what they do (and we love that).

Weed is harvested and watered with as much care as any other plant would receive.

The nun mentions that the city of Merced banned cannabis commerce but that they don’t think that that applies to them, as she explains that it is a non-psychoactive medicine.

They’ve been operating with no hesitation as they make emphasis on the fact that the ban does not apply to them and they say to be advocating for a legalization plan.

The nuns have their own Holy Trinity based on honoring mother earth, honoring the people, and progressive activism in which they spend part of their time fighting for the poor people.

The nuns put the weed through a special process all by themselves.

The herb is first boiled.

It is put through a separation process in which it is squeezed through a filter.

The obtained liquid is then cooked on its own.

Finally, it is poured into separate glass containers.

It is then labeled with the “Sisters of the Valley” paper tag.

The product is presented as an external application cream and a skullcap tincture.

The cream’s final product is supposed to look like this.

The original cannabis treatment was aimed for an arthritis pain relief.

But it is all organic and it is as consumable as the rolled non-processed herb.

People have claimed that it prevents migraines as much as other conditions.

The treatment is CBD based – CBD is a major phytocannabinoid called cannabidiol.

The nuns are not planning on stopping their production anytime soon (and we are so very pleased with that).
