Logan Paul Finally Addresses Backlash After Horrific YouTube Video

¨I’m A Good Guy Who Made A Bad Decision¨

Logan Paul says he is trying to improve after the reaction of his audience to the controversial video posted on December 31st. The video explicitly showed a body of a man hanging in Aokigahara, the forest of suicides located in Japan.

The YouTube controversy

“It’s been hard because, ironically, I’ve been told to kill myself,” he said in an interview with Michael Strahan on Good Morning America last week. “Millions of people literally tell me they hate me. That they’re going to die in a fire. The most horrible and horrible things.” When asked if the criticism was fair, however, Paul’s response was: “that’s what I do.” He also believes that parents have to have more responsibility in controlling what their children are watching on the web.

Logan gives his point of view on the subject

“I’ll be honest with you Michael,” this Youtuber told the host of this program, “I think parents should control what their children are seeing more. All the parents I know whose children are under 12, I say, ‘Hey, you let your children look at my things? ‘ And they say, ‘Yes. What am I going to do?’ But at the same time, it’s not like I’m a bad guy. I’m a good guy who made a bad decision. “

Since the shocking video went viral, Pau has been severely criticized and abandoned his channel on the platform. He has also been excluded from the Foursome video program. Even though these changes hit him in a very terrible way, he says it also “hurt” him financially. It’s not like he’s drowning me.”

“I understand that they had to take a stand.  I do not necessarily agree with that, I do respect it” Logan said of YouTube’s decisions when removing him from his platform.

“One of the things that I am learning, which really belongs to me, is that the crisis passes.” he continued. “For anyone who suffers, I think it’s important to know like you’re not alone. Why do I say it’s important to me, it’s because, friend, this has been, to be honest with you, the most difficult moment of my life. I’ve never been hated by the whole world, it’s been definitely surmountable. I’ll think twice in the future about what I post, probably three times. “

The real reason for the video

Paul gave an explanation about the real reason for this video and this was “make another fun blog, go to the camp for one night and create a fun piece of content in a forest”. But things turned differently “very drastically and quickly” when he next to his squad tripped over the man’s body less than 100 yards from the parking lot.

Strahan argued that even if Paul and his team were not very clear about what they should do, they still had to think about the consequences of the acts committed at the time, the ethics when they filmed, edited and then published this material online.

“Present the reality of suicide”

He asked if Paul ever considered that it might not be a good idea to share this video.“Yes, the idea was to impress. Show the harsh realities of suicide and get people to talk about something that I do not think people talk about a lot,” Paul said. “And that’s still the objective of today.”

This is a very controversial issue in which everyone has opined. We all make mistakes, but can we really apply this rule in this case?
