Congratulations are in order for Jessica Chastain and her Italian love!

Chastain went for a classic yet mesmerizing look. The actress looked gorgeous in an elegant strapless embroidered dress which had corseted bodice with a lace overlay. The wedding gown was reportedly custom-made by Ricardo Tisci, who was also in attendance at the wedding.

Gian Luca and Jessica have been dating for five years and they’ve kept their relationship private over the years, though they were usually spotted together in awards and ceremonies. Jessica also shared beautiful pictures with her beau on her  Instagram account captioned in the most romantic way.

Though Chastain has remained largely silent about her Italian love, the actress has briefly mentioned a few times how happy she’s with him. Speaking to Extra‘s Mario Lopez at the Oscars in 2013, Chastain said she was “very, very happy” with Passi de Preposulo.

In fact, the actress hinted how well everything was going and said, “It’s a wonderful thing when a career does so well and your personal life goes so well.”

The ceremony was really private and intimate, so we’ve only gotten a glimpse of the wedding from some distant paparazzi photos, but they’re enough to make it clear what a beautiful and happy one it was.  Guests began arriving in Venice for the wedding on Wednesday, and Gian Luca and Jessica were spotted sightseeing with family and friends.

The couple held a pre-wedding party on Friday, where they were joined by Jessica’s BFF and Interstellar co-star Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman. British actress Emily Blunt was also spotted in the celebration, who also worked with Chastain in The Huntsman.

Also in attendance was Chastain’s  “Zero Dark Thirty” co-star Edgar Ramirez, who posted several videos from the pre-wedding celebration in Venice on his Instagram story. The A-list guests were filled with notable guests not sticking only to the film industry. Fashion high profile attendees also joined the party.

Who’s the Italian hubby?

Though the couple has been dating since 2012, they have kept their relationship super private, with Chastain rarely opening up about her romantic life in interviews. But that doesn’t mean she hasn’t shown love for her fiancé a couple times on social media. The actress even wished her beau a happy Valentine’s Day on her Instagram earlier this year.

The Passi de Preposulo family is one of Italy’s most noble families. His family dates all the way back to the year 973, when the family settled in the Italian city Bergamo, wich is near Milan. The aristocratic family became owners of the lavish Villa Tiepolo Passi estate, where the couple got married, in the 1800s, though it has been around since the 17th century.

Before the Passi de Preposulo, the estate was owned by the noble Valier family and the Tiepolo family during the Napoleonic era. The Villa Tiepolo Passi holds exclusive events and makes their own ProseccoAs for their title, Passi de Preposulo’s family still uses their count/countess titles, although the Italian aristocracy is no longer recognized by the government. In fact, the family earned the count in 1307 as one of the family members negotiated peace between two warring factions, the Guelf and Ghibelline.

Chastain’s new husband works in high fashion and got his start at Armani where he worked as the director of public relations. He now works for French fashion brand Moncler.

Thanks to his high-fashion gig, Passi de Preposulo is no stranger to Hollywood, counting Roberta Armani as his mentor in a 2009 Vanity Fair profile. His friends include George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

“He’s a gentleman,” Chastain gushed to W Magazine in 2015. “And that’s very important to me. He’s from an old-school Italian family. No one in his family has ever been divorced!”
