Eminem released a brand new collaboration with Queen Beyoncé on Friday and took fans by huge surprise. The pair delivered ‘Walk on Water,’ a ballad that marks the return of both of them.
‘Walk on Water’ marks Beyoncé’s second collaboration since welcoming the twins. Fans couldn’t help but notice, and love, the fact that the song was released on the very same day that Taylor Swift’s ‘Reputation.’
Hail to the royalty!
Two new Beyoncé features in two months, that’s fairly good for fans anticipating the Queen’s return.
First, Beyoncé lent her vocals to a charity remix of J Balvin and Willy William’s ‘Mi Gente,’ and on Friday, she returned with a feature on Eminem’s new ‘Walk on Water.’
The track marks the rapper’s latest endeavor since his viral anti-Trump rant at the BET Hip Hop Awards last month.
‘Walk on Water’ is a moving return for both stars. The ballad with the soulful vocals from Beyoncé and the Eminem’s fierce and introspective verses. It comes with a soaring and emotionally steps in their return.
The song was written by Eminem, Beyoncé, and singer-songwriter Skylar Grey, and produced by Rick Rubin.
Eminem started teasing the song earlier in the week.
He took to Instagram earlier this week and posted a photo of a prescription pad that read “Revival. ‘Walk on Water’ take as needed.”
He followed that up with a parody of a drug commercial for ‘Revival’. It gave followers a heads up to an arrival at noon on Friday and directed them to AskAboutRevival.com.
‘Revival’ is set to be Eminem’s upcoming album which fans have long anticipated. The rapper’s last album was ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ in 2013.
The album is allegedly releasing on November 17. One day before his scheduled appearance as musical guest on ‘Saturday Night Live.’
Internet’s a shady place
And the Internet couldn’t help but notice this coincidence delivering a totally unique Twitter shade situation.
Swift fans were gearing up for the singer’s highly anticipated and op secret album ‘Reputation.’ And some consider that Queen Bey delivering a new and highly secretive collab with Eminem was quite a move.
Nov. 10 was no longer just the day that ‘Reputation’ dropped — it was the day that Beyoncé released new music, and Twitter was kind of having a major freak-out about that.
Thank you Eminem/Beyonce for dropping this just in time to keep Taylor Swift off that #1 spot. You’re the real MVPs.

Look at Beyonce and Eminem casually disrupting Taylor Swift's #reputation buzz.
Basically, Beyonce came to snatch Swift's female pop faves, and Eminem came through to take the middle America ones.
Look at that intersectional shade. hahahahhah
