Watch This Acoustic Instrument That Sounds Like An Electronic Synthesizer

There’s a new acoustic instrument that sounds exactly like an electronic synthesizer. It works with the vibration of the strings just like a guitar but its weird looking appearance makes very mesmerizing to watch while Görkem Şen, its Turkish creator, plays it hitting and stroking the strings with a mallet.

It also has two drums at the end of the strings which helps create a very unique sound. The Yaybahar, the name of the instrument, looks more like a sculpture than an instrument and we can only image how much effort and time it takes to move it from one place to another, although the sound is so original it’s most definitely worth it, if you don’t believe us, check it out.
