We all remember the music video for Maroon 5’s Sugar, right? Where they crashed every wedding they could in Los Angeles in one day? Well, they’ve decided to make a series based on that idea and we think that’s pretty awesome.
But that’s not all. Plain White T’s is going to do something similar. They just announced that there will be a series based on Hey There Delilah.
How would Sugar work
Inspired by Maroon 5’s music video, Adam Levine presents upcoming Sugar, a series made as a gift to super devoted fans. It’s almost the same as Sugar‘s video, but the punch is to surprise fans who have made a difference on their hometowns with their favorite band or artist on a really important day. Executive produced by Adam Levine himself, along with Wedding Crashers‘ David Dobkin, and produced for YouTube Premium, Sugar will come out on August 15.
The trailer shows artists such as Snoop Dog, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Charlie Puth, and Bad Bunny. We want to know more about this!

On the other hand
The song that has been making us cry ugly tears for 12 years, is getting a series as well. Plain White Ts’ Hey There Delilah is being adapted for TV. Of course, it will be a romantic dramedy about a long-distance relationship. But we’ll get to see a little bit more about these two and about their lives.
“Hey There Delilah is a perfect example of an iconic story song that has introduced characters and a premise to a massive multigenerational audience, and is begging to be expanded into a full-length story for contemporary television audiences,” said Michael Barra, Lively McCabe Entertainment’s co-president, to The Hollywood Reporter on an exclusive interview, as he explains they’re doing everything they can to bring this story to life.
But tell us, how do you feel about these upcoming series?
