Master On None Aziz Ansari Has Been Accused Of Sexual Misconduct

According to a report by Babe.net, a photographer named Grace accused actor Aziz Ansari of forcing her on a date last year. Grace says that she met Ansari at the Emmy Awards of 2017. She noticed that they were both taking pictures with the same camera from the 80s. The pair decided to swap numbers.

After this, Ansari invited her to an appointment at the end of September. She says she had been “excited” at the time. She then confessed to Babe that it ended up being “the worst night of my life.”

The date with Ansari was a nightmare

The appointment began with a dinner. Ansari was “eager to leave” and returned to his apartment in Manhattan. When they arrived at the apartment, she commented how much she liked her marble countertops. He proceeded to “turn the compliment into an invitation” by making her sit on the counter while he quickly kissed and played her.

Grace says he started to take off his clothes, telling her directly that he wanted to have sex. She remarks she felt “uncomfortable with how quickly things intensified.”

Ansari allegedly made several attempts to grab her hand and try to bring it to his groin. Even though she walked away each time. Grace alleges that “he really did continue to do it”. After several unsuccessful attempts for the actor, Grace finally got away until eventually she “stopped moving” and “became cold.”

The photographer made it clear that she didn’t want to have any sexual encounters that night. Grace explained it verbally, perhaps “next time”. After all this episode Ansari just served her a drink. Grace asked for the bathroom and then returned to tell him that she felt uncomfortable and that she didn’t “want to feel forced.” The actor understood and said he understood her feelings, so he became comfortable and “just chill” on the couch.

After the two sat down, Grace says he pressured her into oral sex. Saying it was “literally the most unexpected” because she had just told him she was uncomfortable. Again he tried again to have sex with her. Azari pressed her against himself and “doing pantomimes in sexual relationships¨.

He was rejected again. He agreed to “just chill” again when she says she realized she had been “raped.” He tried to kiss her again and “he moved to unbutton her pants”, to which she replied, “you are all fucking the same.” When the actor reacted to this, asking her to explain herself, he went on to give her strong and energetic kisses before she could respond.

When Grace decided to leave and got her phone to call a car, Ansari gave her another “aggressive” kiss. He then told her to use the name “Essence”. A reference to a line from his show Master Of None. The photographer cried all the way to her house. She told her closest friends about that night, who corroborated her story to Babe.

This site also shared a screenshot of a text from Grace that she sent to Ansari. In the text, you could read he ignored clear non-verbal cues. she wants him to be aware “so maybe the next girl does not have to cry on the way home.”

The actor’s statement

After all, this accusation towards the star came out issuing a statement through Pitchfork. It confirmed the basic details of Grace’s account. He talked about how he believed that everything that happened was “completely consensual.” The statement details that gave the actor was:

“In September of last year, I met a woman at a party. We exchanged numbers. We texted back and forth and eventually went on a date. Went out to dinner, and afterward, we ended up engaging in sexual activity. Which by all indications was completely consensual”.

“The next day, I got a text from her saying that although ‘it may have seemed okay,’ upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem okay to me. So when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.”

“I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue.”
