“Great for America, great for US-India relationship” so it says Trump’s new Ad. The most recent Ad of Trump’s presidential campaign is addressed to the Indian-American community. You can even hear him speaking in Hindi when he says “Ab ki baar Trump sarkar”, which translates to “This time a Trump Government” in Hindi.
The new ad is aired on Indian-American tv channels, up to 20 times a day. And shows footage of his speech from the charity event organized by the Republican Hindu Coalition. The event took place in New Jersey and counted with the presence of many Bollywood stars.
The Republican Hindu Coalition is a group of wealthy Indian-Americans who expect to get Republican candidate to the presidency. His founder is Shalli Kumar, who took as example Republican Jewish Coalition and organized the group. The event was organized by them, and the proceeds will go to “victims of terror”.
Since the release of Trump’s video, some Republicans have abandoned the candidate. But the Republican Hindu Coalition maintains its support. Its leader Shalli Kumar stated “The Hindu and Indian communities don’t abandon their friends in difficult times. Hillary Clinton’s actions are far worse than anything Mr. Trump has ever said.”
Apparently the Coalition intention to get Trump to the presidency is a big dream, since the Hindu community leans to the Democratic wing. Which is not rare if we consider that an estimate of 80% of the Hindu population is Muslim, and we all know Trump’s opinion about them.
But, as the presidential campaign comes to an end, and the elections get closer to the date Republican candidate search for support. During the event, Trump lighted Diya since they were celebrating Diwali, the biggest festival of the year for Hindus.
The ad, opens with Trump wishing the viewers a Happy Diwali. The ad then continues to show images of Indian Prime Minister, and of the terrorist attack occurred back in 2008. As Trump states “We will defeat radical Islamic terrorism.”
During the ad Trump talks about the relationship and importance of the American-Hindu community. And reassures his support.
