Music has come a long way. From being a simple entertainment and a simple company to certain events. To being the anthem of whole generations and defining decades. Being Rock & Roll the most important genre of modern times.
For that reason, anyone who stands out on Rock or in popular music gets recognized by the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Getting immortalized and praised for the generations to come, as they’ve all done something incredible to be awarded such an honor.
A complete gig
Obviously, due to the magnitude of the honor, the award ceremony it’s a complete event. Juts like the Oscars, but even cooler. Since it has to do with music you get an incredible concert. To what this year’s edition got a lineup full of musical heavyweights.
One of the amazing guest artists that will play on the ceremony will be Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, Mary Chapin Carpenter and the Indigo Girls. Kravitz’s presentation will be one where all the eyes will be since he will do a special tribute to the late Prince.
The legendary rockers
The 32nd edition of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame will introduce some incredible and very influent artists this year. They are: Pearl Jam, Journey, Yes, Electric Light Orchestra, Joan Baez, Tupac Shakur and Nile Rodgers from Chic.
The ceremony will take place April 7, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The event will be aired on HBO April 29th at 8 p.m. Previously to the ceremony, a special exhibition of the 2017 inductees will open at the Rock Hall Of Fame in Cleveland on March 31 to honor them.
More rocking stars
But the stars don’t stop there as other very famous and talented musicians will be the ones to introduce the nominees. As Neil Young will induct Pearl Jam, Snoop Dogg Tupac Shakur and Pharrell will do so with Chic’s Nile Rodgers, with the Award for Musical Excellence.
While Train’s Pat Monahan will introduce Journey, Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will do the same with Yes. Jackson Browne will induct Joan Baez and Dhani Harrison, son of George Harrison, will introduce Electric Light Orchestra.
