Kylie received an amazing birthday surprise on Thursday. Kylie’s 20th birthday celebration started on Wednesday and continued throughout Thursday. The celebration included all the usual Kardashian glam, and a personalized ice-sculpture.
Kylie decided to celebrate a good cause and took social media on Thursday to announce she’ll donate money to Teen Cancer America.
Jenner’s bash was the perfect fit for a Kardashian
Kylie is not longer a teenager and her family decided to celebrate it in a big way. The Kardashian-Jenner clan came together to party in a big way. The ‘Life of Kylie‘ star walked into the unexpected bash after attending her boyfriend Travis Scott’s concert with Kendrick Lamar at the Staples Center in Los Angeles earlier in the evening.
Wearing an all-white ensemble, a mini-skirt, off-the-shoulder top and matching sneakers, she entered the venue and immediately gave her boyfriend a hug. Her mom Kris Jenner, as well as sisters Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian West and Khloé Kardashian, were all in attendance.
They also made sure the party had a few decidedly Kylie elements, including the golden balloons, a chocolate Fontaine, a funny personalized cake with a Kylie picture on it, and an ice sculpture of a naked Kylie, because why not? Other attendees included Jonathan Cheban, Jen Atkin, and Jordyn Woods.
Celebrating their little sis
Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to wish her sister a happy 20th, writing,
“Happy Birthday baby sis! @kyliejenner You are always so determined &so set on what you want in life & starting at such a young age you always went for it. That’s so inspiring to watch. I love you Ky”
On a more sentimental note, her mother, Kris Jenner, posted a photo collage on Instagram for Jenner’s birthday, with a sweet caption that read,
“Happy birthday my beauty, @Kyliejenner! 20 today!! I am so proud of the young woman you have become.”
“There is so much ahead for you, my angel, and I can’t wait to see what your 20s has in store!! I love you more than you will ever know! Mommy xo,” she added.
Kylie has been busy this last year
Nineteen was a pretty busy year for Kylie, without hesitation. Not only she starred in her own reality show, ‘Life of Kylie’, and expanded her makeup brand, but she also ranked at number 59 of the Forbes list earlier this year. Kylie was the youngest list member.
On top of that, Women’s Wear Daily reported Wednesday that the cosmetics mogul’s beauty brand raked in $420 million over the course of the last 18 months alone. Which comes as no surprise since every product she launches sells out within minutes.
According to the site, Kylie Cosmetics is on track to see a 25 percent increase in sales this year alone, putting sales projections for 2017 at $386 million.
The report also noted that if growth continues at that pace Jenner will have a billion dollar business on her hands by the times she’s 25.
Jenner is supporting a good cause
The reality star announced that a portion of all of Thursday’s Kylie Cosmetics proceeds would be donated to Teen Cancer America, an organization dedicated to supporting oncology care and cancer research for young people. She shared the news in an Instagram video, in which she appears with her friend and musician Harry Hudson, who is also a cancer survivor.
Together, they explain the campaign and why Kylie is choosing to get involved. “I wanted to do something special to celebrate my birthday,” Kylie writes in her caption.
“Thanks to @harryhudson, for teaching me about this organization and helping me make a difference!”
In addition to the donations, Kylie offered customers who shopped on Thursday, a free makeup bag with any purchase over $60, likely as an added incentive to help raise money for Teen Cancer America. It’s definitely a great cause, and Kylie’s birthday is the perfect opportunity for the celebrity to give back to her community.
