During the past few years, we have seen Khloé Kardashian’s body unbelievable transformation. We all know exercise and a good, balanced diet are key to achieving a healthy, fit body. But what is exactly Khloe’s secret? Her nutritionist, Dr. Philip Goglia recently revealed what’s in the younger Kardashian’s day-to-day diet.
We get constant peaks on Khloés daily routine through her Instagram account and ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians.’ More recently, the fitness guru reality superstar kicked off her TV show ‘Revenge Body.’ In which she helps a group of people lose weight and gain muscle in order to give their lives a new direction.
There couldn’t be a more proper name than ‘Revenge Body.’ The superstar’s own transformation happened when she was dealing with the divorce from her then-husband Lamar Odom – which we all know was a pretty difficult one. She started an intense workout routine with celeb trainer Gunnar Peterson, resulting in a toned-as-hell body, but she made sure to let one thing clear: getting a revenge body is never about getting someone back. Can I get an “amen”?
Speaking to USA Today, she explained what truly made her change. “I turned to working out because I needed clarity in my brain and I didn’t know what else to do but go to the gym. As a by-product, I started losing weight,” she said.
But we know the gym is not enough to get fit and be healthy, so let’s find out what does the Kardashian eat to stay in shape.
Khloé Kardashian’s diet revealed: seven meals a day
Before unveiling the Kardashian’s meal plan, Dr. Goglia insisted on that “when it comes to nutrition and weight loss, it’s 80 percent in the kitchen and 20 percent in the gym.” So let’s pay attention here.
The co-founder of G-Plans explained that every diet is planned according to the person’s metabolic body type because everyone has a unique way to process proteins, fats, and carbs. He has worked with celebrities like Ryan Gosling, Chris Hemsworth, Channing Tatum, and sister Kim K, and the results have been – obviously – amazing.
The Doc shared to Healthista the meal plan that keeps Kardashian on point, and it’s a diet based on seven meals.
First thing in the morning, she’ll have a shake based on one scoop of whey protein powder, one tablespoon of almond butter, and a fruit of her choice blended with ice and water. The next meal – snack, actually – will be whatever piece of fruit she feels like having.
For lunch, she’ll have 4oz of chicken breast with vegetables aside, and a salad that is high in iron. Try spinach, for example. The next meal will be a cup of vegetables, something like celery, or tomatoes. Also, 12 almonds – for a yummy dosage of healthy fat.
Meal number 5 will be more vegetables. Another cup, this time accompanied by one egg.
For dinner, she’ll have fatty fish – any fatty fish, like salmon, sea bass, or arctic char. Fill the rest of the plate with 8oz of vegetables and salad.
And the last meal of the day will be the same as the first one: a piece of fruit of her choice.
A pretty strict diet, I may say, but I know it’s all worthy.
Of course, Dr. Goglia respects one of the basic rules of dieting: cheat meals are allowed. The doctor revealed that Kardashian has a cheat meal once a week. “She has a pattern where she will do seven days on and then have one meal off. Her choice of a cheat would vary a great deal – maybe she’ll have a slice of cake as dessert or pizza or pasta dinner, basically whatever she has a craving for.”
Think of the cheat meal as a reward for being so nice to yourself and your body. If you are disciplined and honest enough, the cheat meal will taste better than ever.
Oh, one last thing! Probably the most important one, according to Dr. Goglia. He says that hydrating is the number one way to look after your body. He suggests that we should be drinking ½ oz to 1 oz of water per each lb you weigh daily. So, drink your water!
