Harry Styles Delivers A Message To His Ex, Taylor Swif, In Recent Interview

Harry Styles opened up about his relationship with Taylor Swift in the Rolling Stones’ May edition. In an interview with filmmaker Cameron Crowe, the singer discussed the infamous 2012 relationship.

The singer recently debuted as a solo artist also talked about his new work, his life, and his favorite way of connecting with people. Harry’s debut album is set to de released on May 12th.

Breaking the silence about the 2012 romance, with Swift

Once upon a time Taylor Swift and Harry Styles were a pop fairy tale couple. The singers dated from October 2012 to January 2013 and we thought we were living the pop stars romance dream.

Neither of them had said much about their time together, except for Taylor’s usual songs.But Harry broke the silence recently and spoke about it with Cameron Crowe in a Rolling Stones interview.Harry reflected on their time together and thought of the tricky side of dating in the public eye. He remembers their second date in New Tork City’s Central Park and said.

“When I see photos from that day, I think: Relationships are hard, at any age. And adding in that you don’t really understand exactly how it works when you’re 18, trying to navigate all that stuff didn’t make it easier. I mean, you’re a little bit awkward, to begin with. You’re on a date with someone you really like.” It should be that simple, right? It was a learning experience for sure.”

In 2014, Taylor released 1989 and many people assumed two of the songs were about her past relationship with Harry. People thought she’d written Out Of The Woods and Style about Harry.

For some time now, Taylor is known for writing songs based on her experiences with her exes. Also, during her press conferences for the album, Taylor alluded to what is like dating Harry, she said, “The number one feeling I felt in the whole relationship was anxiety.”

However, when asked about if he considered the songs are about him he had nothing but sweet things to say about Taylor. He said, “I mean, I don’t know if they’re about me or not…but the issue is, she’s so good, they’re bloody everywhere,” he says, adding, “I write from my experiences; everyone does that. I’m lucky if everything [we went through together] helped create those songs. That’s what hits your heart.”

Then he finished, “That’s the stuff that’s hardest to say, and it’s the stuff I talk least about. That’s the part that’s about the two people. I’m never going to tell anybody everything.”

Harry, who was pretty nervous about discussing this issue wrapped up saying that he doesn’t harbor any ill towards Swift, “Certain things don’t work out. There’s a lot of things that can be right, and it’s still wrong. In writing songs about stuff like that, I like tipping a hat to the time together. You’re celebrating the fact it was powerful and made you feel something, rather than ‘this didn’t work out, and that’s bad.'”

He even thanked and celebrated the experiences “And if you run into that person, maybe it’s awkward, maybe you have to get drunk…but you shared something,” he says. “Meeting someone new, sharing those experiences, it’s the best s–t ever. So thank you.”

Talking about personal life and his music

Since the musical hiatus of One Direction, the 23-year-old singer has been quite busy. After making his movie debut in the 2016 film Dunkirk, the singer decided to continue recording his album.

So, Harry decided to go to a different place, that wasn’t Los Angeles or London, to focus on the project and the experience as a solo artist. He spent two moths in Jamaica recording his album with the band, and boy he has some stories.

The singer reflected on what was like having his own process and his own project, he said “I wanted to step up. There were songs I wanted to write and record, and not just have it be ‘Here’s a demo I wrote.’ Every decision I’ve made since I was 16 was made in a democracy. I felt like it was time to make a decision about the future … and maybe I shouldn’t rely on others.”

After teasing us for some time via social media, Harry dropped his first single, which landed a crazy success, on April 7 which was sooner than expected.

But once it was time to release the anticipated work he felt nervous as never before, “Of course I’m nervous. I mean, I’ve never done this before. I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing. I’m happy I found this band and these musicians, where you can be vulnerable enough to put yourself out there. I’m still learning … but it’s my favorite lesson.”

Harry also talked about separating his private life and his music, “I like to separate my personal life and work. It helps, I think, for me to compartmentalize. It’s not about trying to make my career longer, like I’m trying to be this ‘mysterious character,’ because I’m not. When I go home, I feel like the same person I was at school. You can’t expect to keep that if you show everything. There’s the work and the personal stuff, and going between the two is my favorite shit. It’s amazing to me.”

Finally, he added that among all social media is favorite one is Twitter, because he thinks “It’s the most incredible way to communicate closely with people,” then he added, “but not as well as in person.”
