Ed Sheeran’s Carpool Karaoke Includes Inside Justin Bieber Stories

Ed Sheeran Revealed Quite Some Things While Talking And Singing With Corden.

Ed Sheeran joined James Corden for Tuesday’s Carpool Karaoke. This particular Late Late Show’s sketch was everything we expected and more. The pair sang some of Ed’s biggest hits, recount funny stories involving golf, alcohol and Justin Bieber.

The sexy song and revelations

The latest installment of Carpool Karaoke took an unexpected sexy turn. James Corden and Ed Sheeran opened with Shape of You, which Corden called a “sexy song”. And he had some sexy moves too. The pair discussed how Sheeran is unreachable because he doesn’t have a phone and Corden impressed the British singer with his lyric game on ‘Sing’.

During a break from the music, Corden challenged his guest to the “Malteser challenge,” seeing how many of the popular British chocolate they could fit in their mouths. Sheeran shattered his previous record and wound up with 55

Sheeran revealed that he spent his past year away from the spotlight traveling for three months and then recording his album for eight.

He also explained that during this time, he decided to get rid of his phone; he only uses e-mail. “I had [a phone] for like two weeks and I just didn’t charge it,” he said. “It’s like what it would be like 30 years ago for our parents.”

The singer, who admitted he feels “naked” without his guitar, in fact, he said he’s been “glued” to the guitar since he was little, and he realized it was a gift from above. “I was an unfortunate-looking kid,” he said. “I feel like God looked down on me and was like, ‘You need help getting laid, mate.’

Their traveling set list also included Sing (complete with the pseudo-rap section), Love Yourself and a brief cover version of One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful.

Ed had a funny adventure with Justin Bieber

Ed revealed his love for dive bars and also a hilarious story with his friend Justin Bieber. Sheeran recalled that, during a random night of bar-hopping, he wound up at a golf course, where Justin requested him to hit a golf ball out of his mouth. It didn’t go well.

“I was pretty hammered,” Sheeran admitted. “I was like, ‘Focus, focus, focus. You can’t hit him; you can’t hit him; you can’t hit him…I cracked him across the face … He was actually really cool about it, surprisingly. He was like, ‘Oh, bro!’ And just carried on.”

Thank goodness he wasn’t injured. “He was actually really cool about it,” said Sheeran.

Earlier this year Ed revealed the pair duetted with one another at a karaoke bar during their travels in Japan’s capital. They sang one another’s biggest hits before coming together for a rendition of one of Justin’s biggest hits.

“He was in Tokyo. It was a really weird night actually, a really weird night. We went to a bar called Train Bar and did some shots, then we went to a karaoke bar and sung our own song.”
