Domino In Japan Is Trying To Get Reindeers To Deliver Pizza

We’ve said it before, and we will keep saying it until the end of times. Japan is the home of some of the most awesome and weirdest ideas ever seen. So it’s no surprise that their commercials and advertisement ideas are crazy, yet mesmerizing as hell.

Since the holidays are coming we have an incredible crossover. On one side there is Domino’s marketing power muscle and mighty pizza, on the other one we have Japan’s overwhelming creativity.

Reindeers and pizza people!

 

The incredible holiday marketing idea? Pizza delivering raindeers.

Yeap you read it right. They’re taking Santa’s incredible business idea and trying to make it their own.

According to Domino’s Japan, the company is working with the “Hokkaido Delivery Integrated Research Center” to figure out how to train reindeer to deliver pizzas.

The only thing they can’t promise is flying reindeers. But they will include a GPS system so you can know how your antlers friends are going with your pizza.

They announce the initiative, or for Santa, a kidnap statement of his pets, on its Facebook page.

Saying the delivery reindeer would be expected to be ready to deliver pizzas by December 1st.

In the video, you can see how the “delivery researchers” try to figure out the best way to solve the reindeer + pizza equation. Like, for example, you can see them trying to strap pizzas to a very unhelpful reindeer.

At the end, they recurred to a classic and decided to use a sled. Acknowledging Santa the final word.
