David Beckham’s Small Appereance On Guy Richie’s Film Has Everyone Talking

IDK Beckh’s I Think You Should Reconsider Your Acting Carreer

David Beckham had everyone talking about his cameo in Guy Ritchie’s newest film, ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’. But now fans are sort of cringing over his acting cameo. On Tuesday, a teaser of the cameo showed the football player’s shiny moment, but it wasn’t so shiny.

Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword marks Beckham’s debut on the big screen. The movie hits theaters on May 12.

Beckham is transitioning to the big screen.

Ever since David Beckham revealed that he landed a small role in Guy Ritchie‘s latest film – a Middle Ages epic called King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, starring  Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, Eric Bana and Poppy Delevingne- we’ve been absolutely over the moon to see Becks clad in armor like a shiny knight.

After all, we’re talking of David Beckham. The man. A guy of many talents who can do everything. Football, posting pictures of his cool and sweet parenting-, modeling, designing underwear, acting… And nope, that last one isn’t a typo, or so we discovered.

On Tuesday, a clip emerged showing the Becks acting skills, so exciting, so anticipated, so…not so what we expected.

But let’s remember he’s just playing a small role. He plays Trigger, a soldier who is seen as young Arthur, Charlie Hunnam, comes across the fateful sword in the stone for the very first time.

The clip includes an exchange of words where you hear the Becks trying a Cockney accent and saying “oi” and “bouncing on my knee.” And le’s not forget the menacing look.

Slamming the good old Becks…and the movie.

Not everyone was particularly kind about his work. Sorry, Becks. Twitter was flooded with comments saying the meanest, and some funny things.

Of course, Piers Morgan -number one hater in the UK- also jumped into the slam, and said, “He could be the third Mitchell brother in EastEnders. I thought it was a very, very good performance. Honestly – Oscars, wow, exciting.”

Whatever you think, Becks is definitely in good company in his first movie role. As well as Charlie, he stars alongside the likes of Jude Law, Eric Bana, and Poppy Delevingne.

However, Guy Ritchie’s revamp of the Arthurian legends hasn’t done so good with the critics. It holds a 24% on Rotten Tomatoes and has some negative reviews, and are not for Beckham’s acting.

Critics have slammed the movie as generic and mediocre. They have also pointed out that the plot gets lost in all the special effects and action scenes extravaganza.
