Is Robert Pattinson Down for a 'Twilight' Reboot? Find Out

Several years after the Twilight saga ended, Robert Pattinson opened up about his experience and unveiled surprising news. In a recent interview, he said he’d be down for a Twilight spin-off.

Jaw dropping, yes, but he’ll be down for it. This is not so crazy considering the huge fan base the vampire love saga has. Rob is currently promoting his new movie The Lost City of Z.

Those were the Twilight days

Five years have passed since we last saw the vampire love saga on the big screen. The Twilight series introduced teens to the sparkly vampire world like no other, sorry Dracula.

The fifth and last installment of the series was released in 2012, Breaking Dawn part 2, and we said goodbye to the power duo and their world.But, since these are the days of nostalgia and Hollywood is all about big franchises and reboots is not so crazy to consider a spin-off of the incredibly huge fan base franchise.

Down for it

During the promotion of his new film The Lost City of Z, the former Twilight star was asked about his experience in the franchise and bringing back the teen vampire heartthrob.

In the interview with Yahoo! Movies on April 13, Rob said, “Really, they’re expanding it?” He asked before joking, “So, I’ll get my own spin-off?”

He the added, “I’m always kind of curious,” he said. “Anything where there’s a mass audience — or seemingly an audience for it — I always like the idea of subverting people’s expectations. There could be some radical ways of doing it, which could be quite fun. It’s always difficult when there’s no source material.”

Even when Rob is down, his co-star and former girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, has stated that she wouldn’t. So, we’ll guess the spin-off would have to explore maybe Edward’s origins or be some kind of prequel.

Since Rob last played Edward he has starred in several films and he says he has enjoyed anonymity since he lives in London his life is definitely calmer.

Rob also pointed out he’s doing more parts that interest him, in fact, he’s promoting his new film The Lost City Of Z which is based on the book of the same name by David Grann. The story follows a true Amazon jungle adventure in seek of a lost city.

Written and directed by James Gray, the movie which was filmed in the Colombian jungle. Rob co-stars with Charlie Hunnam.

The Lost City of Z premiered on April 14 in the US.
