Billboard Music Awards: The Craziest Red Carpet Looks Across History

Some Are Good.. Some Are Just Better To Forget About Them!

The Billboard Music Awards provide memorable moments and not only related to music. The awards have become a platform for artists to display their eccentricities when it comes to fashion, delivering sometimes the craziest looks out there.

Every year, we watch our favorite artist walk down the red carpet, and sometimes we witness the most outrageous outfits.  Let’s take a walk down memory lane to see the most memorable ones.

10.  When Dencia went with a future-looking gown

In 2015, the Cameroonian-Nigerian singer Dencia made quite a splash on the red carpet. She showed up wearing a rainbow bodysuit with a pair of sunglasses that completed the eccentric outfit.

“The designer #RockyG thanks for this amazing piece, the plan was to shut it down and we did it & to everyone who saw the Artistry & creativity, I appreciate ur support and those who don’t understand and had opinions, I appreciate ur support regardless,” the vocalist Instagrammed about the ensemble.

The Estonian singer went full Bublegoth at the 2012 ceremony. Wearing a white mini skirt, accompanied by magenta high tights. The look was scarily completed with stuffed animal sneakers. And let’s not forget the pale blue hair.

In 2004, Diana Ross went full diva, and it went totally wrong. The singer took to the stage to perform in an explosion of red taffeta. Eye soaring.

4. Busta Rhymes

In 1996, Busta Rhymes rocked a navvy blue robe with matching headdress to the 8th Annual Billboard Music Awards. Now, this is creative, though not necessarily hip.

2.  Pink in her 2000 fashion…

How can we forget the full Benjamins outfit Pink wore at the 2000 Billboard ceremony? Well, the singer wore a silk money-covered jumpsuit and a memorable colorful hairdo that we can’t just erase for our memories yet.

1. And of course, Cher

Oh dear, dear, Cher. The diva has always experienced with fashion, and not always in the best way. At the 2002 ceremony, the diva showed us how would a cross between Cleopatra and Pocahontas look like. And, frankly, we didn’t ask for it.
