Ariana Grande Releases Statement on Manchester Bombing: ¨We’ll Not Quit Or Operate In Fear¨

“We won’t let hate win”

Ariana Grande released an emotional statement on Friday about the attack that took place at her Manchester concert om previous days. “We won’t let hate win.”

The singer praised people’s will to come together and help each other. She also announced plans to resume her tour to spend time with fans and throw a benefit concert.

A powerful message to fans.

On Monday, a suicide bomber detonated a bomb at the end of Ariana Grande’s Manchester gig causing the death of 22 people and over 58 injured.

A heartbroken Ariana tweeted her response that night. She wrote: “broken. from the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry. I don’t have words.”

On Friday, the singer released a longer response on the social platform. She insisted to her fans, “We won’t let hate win.” She also tributed the deceased in the candid statement.

The singer addressed those affected by the terrible incident expressing her deepest condolences. She also said that despite not being able to take away the pain of their losses or possibly making it better, “I extend my hand and heart and everything I possibly can give to you and yours, should you want or need my help in any way.

The singer then praised fans for the way they have handled the situation and how people have come together to help each other.

She then said, “The compassion, kindness, love, strength and oneness that you’ve shown one another this past week is the exact opposite of the heinous intentions (…)” of those who committed the attack.

 Coming together in moments of need

The singer announced she is returning to Manchester to spend time with fans and hold a benefit concert that will raise money for the victims and their families.

“I want to thank my fellow musicians and friends for reaching out to be a part of our expression of love for Manchester,” she wrote. Details about the benefit concert haven’t been announced yet.

She highlighted that the bombing will not change the purpose of her Dangerous Woman Tour. Which is to create a “safe space”  for her fans to “escape” and “express themselves.”

After the attack, England’s terrorism threat levels have reached the highest which has translated in the cancellation of several events.

Following the attacks, a number of bands have canceled gigs around the city. Including Take That, Kiss and Ariana’s boyfriend Mac Miller.

The Wonder Woman‘s London premiere was also canceled. Ariana also canceled her tour for now.
