After teasing fans on social media, the EDM duo announced on January 30 their first full-length album which came along with a major arena tour in 40 North American cities.

‘Memories…Do not Open’ will be released on April the 3, just in time to provide us with the best summer hits. The duo already gave us a sneak peak of the anticipated album with Paris which quickly became a number one hit. Three weeks ago they dropped the single ‘Something Just Like This’ ft Coldplay and they smashed the charts.

Dropping some cool covers.

On Thursday, during the duo’s performance at SXSW in Austin, Texas, the New Yorkers dropped a cover like no other. The duo comprised of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, surprised the crowd when they started singing the Smash Mouth’s 1999 hit All Stars over their own hit Closer.

Taggart who had climbed onto the decks and was singing the track then said, “Just kidding, let’s do the real thing now,” before starting to sing Closer.

Because, why not?

That was not it, the duo then did straight up Red Hot Chili Peppers karaoke. The pair also performed a cover of RHCP Under the Bridge over their own Roses.

Really, these are the days of living.

And they say rock is dead 😂 #TheChainsmokers
