Mariah Carey Postpones Her Christmas Tour For Health Issues

The Tour Is Now Beginning On December 2nd

Mariah Carey postponed her Christmas Tour due to health issues. The diva took to social media on Friday to break the news in a post-Thanksgiving post.

Carey’s Christmas tour is now is set to begin December 2 in New York and end December 22 in Las Vegas.

Christmas is coming late this year

For years now, Mariah Carey has unofficially been the Queen of Christmas, and now she’s let us know that Christmas is coming late this year.

Carey is postponing her Christmas tour after a doctor ordered her to focus on her health.

“I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones; it’s certainly nice to remember what we are grateful for!” she started off.

“Like most, I’m thankful for my overall health … for which I need a bit more time to get right. Doctors have ordered a few extra days of rest before I can finally fly to New York and take the stage for my Christmas Tour,” she wrote.

“While this news disappoints me to share, I am grateful to be on the mend and for the support from all of you ― it means the world to me! See you from the stage soon darlings!”

The diva had already canceled the first set of shows due to an upper respiratory infection. The tour was originally set to kick off November 27.

However, Carey will be taking over on December 2, December 4, and December 5.

Carey will then move on to perform dates in Paris, the U.K., and Vegas.

Carey has become known for her yearly tour, named for the iconic song ‘All I Want for Christmas is You.’ This year marks the fourth iteration of the concert series.

Meanwhile, you can watch the movie

While we have to wait a little bit to get Mariah officially kicking off the Christmas season, the animated movie based on the Mariah Carey’s Christmas anthem of the same name is already available.

‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ follows little Mariah as she gets in the mission of convincing her parents to get her a puppy named Jack. And discovering the magic of Christmas.

“Like the song itself, Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You is destined to become an enduring family holiday classic,” said the films company creator Universal.

The film is full Mariah. It’s based on the 2015 book by the same name and is narrated by Mariah.

The movie included a new original song by Carey, as well as two other holiday tunes alongside the popular title song.
