YouTube Red brings us a holiday special featuring the queen of Christmas’ herself Mariah Carey. It will also feature DJ Khaled and YouTuber Rudy Mancuso and is bound to be cool and jolly.
“The Keys of Christmas” is the name of the production, that follows the story of a boy who experiences a magical adventure and figures out the true meaning of Christmas.

The story of a Grinchy boy, Rudy Mancuso, who pushes away everybody, and finds himself with a somehow Christmas guardian, DJ Khaled, who leads him to the Christmas’ Spirit, who will help him reconnect with the magic of Christmas.

This time the streaming service brings a jolly film to add to its list of productions. With the desire of bringing something unique to their customers, they came up with this hybrid between a blockbuster and a YouTube movie. The direction of the film rested in the hands of Dave Meyers.
Huge names.
YouTube Red’s holiday special features big stars such as DJ Khaled, Mariah Carey, Lele Pons, Alex Aiono, Boyce Avenue, Nicky Jam, Bebe Rexha and Gregory Brothers. It also features legend Mike Tyson, Ciara and Fifth Harmony. And introduces Rudy Mancuso to films.
Creating something new.
The special aimed to bring something new. That’s how they came up with the idea of mixing traditional stars, such as Mariah and DJ Khaled, with digital stars, as YouTuber Rudy Mancuso. This way they created something new and also filled the gap between traditional and digital talents.
Excitement.
Artists were really excited about joining the project, much of the excitement came after learning that Mariah would be down for it. Since Mariah is such a Christmas’ icon, people felt immediately attracted to the project.

The movie is full of Christmas joy and vibe, with sparkling performances of huge stars and all the Christmas favorite songs, this movie is bound to become a classic.
The cast was really excited about the premiere on December the 19.
