Jamie Lynn Spears’ Daughter, Maddie Returns Home After ATV Accident

On Friday, Jamie Lynn Spears announced her eight-year-old daughter, Maddie, was heading home after an ATV accident. After almost a week in the hospital, the little girl is doing well and finally going home with her family. Auntie Birtney Spears called the girl’s recovery a miracle, meanwhile, the whole family thanked the world for all the prayers and support they received. Such great news!

Terrifying moments for the Lynn-Spears family.

On Sunday, February the 5th, the Lynn-Spears family was hanging out in their Kentwood home. Maddie was driving an ATV and in an attempt to avoid a drainage ditch she wound up into a pond. Immediately she submerged in the cold water right in front of the family’s eyes.

The mother, stepfather and other family members reached the pond in an attempt to help her but she was trapped and secured by the seatbelt. The family called emergency personnel which arrived in minutes and took Maddie and her parents to the New Orleans Children Hospital by Helicopter.

Heading home.

Maddie arrived in critical condition but began improving soon. On Tuesday, she regained consciousness and recognized the family members, she was receiving oxygen, though. On Friday, she was released as she continues to recover in the comforts of her home.

Jamie and her husband, Jamie Watson, turned to Instagram to thank everyone for the support and especially thank the medical team for the incredible work they did with their little girl. They both shared a pic of the family alongside the helicopter ready to head home!

Thanks to the amazing first responders, and medical teams at University and Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA, we are headed home with our baby girl as she continues to recover. Above all else we are so thankful for each and every prayer, because we know that is what truly made the difference. Thank you again to everyone. We are truly blessed🙏

Cute family.

Jamie Lynn and ex Casey Aldridge welcomed Maddie back in 2008. The couple split in 2010, but both parents are involved in Maddie’s life, Casey was not only present the day of the accident but was also in the hospital with his daughter.

Jamie Lynn married businessman Jamie Watson back in 2014, after a one-year engagement and a five-year relationship. Jamie Watson said to PEOPLE magazine “I knew I wanted to marry her when basically I had fallen in love with Maddie just as much as her.”
