Music has always been the greatest escape of all. As it has been the voice of those who don’t have one, a cathartic process for many, and according to ancient greek philosophers the purest of all the arts.
As time has gone by music has divided into many branches and expressions. Being one of the most straight forward and honest one’s punk rock. In the last couple of months, there has been a punk rock band, Green Day, that has been in the spotlight. Since their political disagreement with what has been happening in the U.S.
Punk class.
Besides being political activists and a great band Green Day are also good guys. Since they made a classy act on a show yesterday, February 8, in a show at London. The punk rockers were playing at the O2 Arena in London, as part of their UK/Ireland 2017 tour.
While playing one of their older songs, “Knowledge,” frontman Billie Joe Armstrong spotted a disabled fan called Rachel. Then he proceeded to invite her on stage to play with the band and later gifting her his guitar.

Keep on rocking.
The band’s amazing gesture was applauded by the crowd, and surely for anyone reading this. As this kind of little gestures restores a bit of faith in mankind. Especially with everything that has been going on in the world.
Also, there is still many dates in the UK/Ireland tour for Green Day. They’re even going to headline the British Summer Time at Hyde Park on July 1. The show will also feature punk heavyweights Rancid. Along with many other awesome and different bands acts Gogol Bordello, The Hives, The Living End, Beach Slang, SWMRS, Sunflower Bean and Public Access TV.
Green party.
Despite all of this emotional moment frontman Billie Joel Armstrong is still worried by the future of the U.S. Since he sees Trump’s politics as acts of terror, as he told in an interview to Rolling Stones magazine: “The executive orders Trump is signing feels like a vendetta. Trump is not only taking out his revenge on the people who protested him, but also the average American that just didn’t vote for him.”
“These reckless decisions on healthcare, Muslim-Americans, immigration, environmental protection, freedom of speech, freedom of press, women’s right to choose what to do with their bodies, suggesting sending in the feds to Chicago .. are signs of a man that is trying to redefine what it is that keeps our common union as Americans..”
