Liam Gallagher Blasts Brother Noel After Not Showing At Manchester

I Guess This Clears The Air For An Oasis Reunion…

The Gallagher brothers are here to ruin the fun one more time. On this occasion, it’s Liam Gallagher’s turn to slam his brother, Noel, after he didn’t show up at Manchester benefit concert.

Ariana Grande’s benefit concert ‘One Love Manchester‘ took place on Sunday at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground. The concert was produced in support of the victims of the city’s terrorist attack that left 23 dead and several injured.

An all-star line-up joined Grande for the show, including Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Take That, Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, and much more. What the 50,000 people who attended the concert weren’t expecting was Liam Gallagher walking onstage.

Following an emotive rendition of “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, the younger Gallagher joined Coldplay to perform the Oasis hit “Live Forever.” He also played “Rock N’ Roll Star,” and his latest solo single “Wall Of Glass.” But there was no Noel Gallagher on sight.

Sorry, but an Oasis reunion is pretty unlikely to happen

Rumors about an Oasis reunion had been circulating for a while. To clear all doubts, Liam took Twitter on Monday to praise the gig, but also to address some not very friendly things to his brother. Including an explanation of why he didn’t go to the gig.

“Manchester id like to apologize for my brothers absence last night very disappointed stay beautiful stay safe LG x,” the singer wrote about his brother. “Noels out of the f*cking country weren’t we all love get on a f*cking plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad f*ck,” he added.

Yup, that doesn’t seem like the best environment to discuss a reunion. And if a benefit concert for a terrorist attack in their beloved hometown can’t bring the Gallaghers together, boy, I don’t know what will.

In a recent interview with the Observer, Liam said about a possible reunion that he “can’t see it happening,” adding that he’s about to hop into his solo career and he’d like to focus on that. “I’d like it to happen,” he continued, “because I miss him and I miss the band and I miss the fans and I miss singing them songs.”

He also said that Noel’s biggest problem is that he thinks he’s a bit of a god and that he has changed a lot as a person. “He’s not someone I want to be in a band with. He’s part of the establishment,” he said.

Noel Gallagher explained why he couldn’t attend the concert

Following Liam’s aim to his brother, rep of the guitarist offered a reason why Noel couldn’t be at the concert. The rep told Mirror that Noel was on holiday over the weekend. The musician had been out of the country on a family trip since before the concert was announced, and he couldn’t change his plans.

“Needles to say he is very supportive of the event and wishes everyone huge success on the day.”
