Harry Styles calls Manchester Bombing Victim Over The Phone

Harry Styles did the cutest thing ever and made one Manchester victim’s dream come true when he called her to and said: “I love you.”

The singer ringed Freya Lewis, a 14-year-old fan that was seriously injured in last week’s bombing in Manchester at an Ariana Grande concert. Lewis had been in intensive care at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. She’s being treated for multiple fractures, lacerations, and burns.

According to reports, Lewis spent more than 10 hours in surgery and has undergone more than two more operations. Additional procedures are planned for the coming weeks. The teenager was one of the survivors of the terrorist attack, which left more than 100 injured people and killed 22, including Lewis best friend Nell Jones, who was also 14.

The phone call was all thanks to Lewis’ sister

On Saturday, Lewis’ school shared a post saying that the ex-One Direction called the teenager, and described the phone call.

The post says that Lewis was waking up from sedation when her dad’s phone rang. It was Harry Styles. “Harry said he loved her, she said she loved him, then Dad said he loved him!” it says on the emotive blog post, that reads at the end, “Harry, we salute you, sir, Holmes Chapel is very proud of you!!!!”

Ever since the attack, the family has been providing updates on Lewis’ condition. But that last update came after the efforts of Lewis’ sister Georgia.

Last week, she uploaded a Facebook video in which a very shy and giddy Lewis meets Styles in a restaurant.

She asked her friends on social media to share the post, hoping that it would eventually reach Styles. “I don’t expect this to work but if this post is shared enough times we can see if we can get Harry’s attention,” Georgia wrote. All I want is for my little sister to be happy so please share for Harry Style’s biggest fan.”

Unexpectedly, Georgia’s idea worked, and Styles, who just released his first solo album, rang his “biggest fan” to share some love.

Later, Georgia took on Facebook to confirm the phone call, writing that Freya was “in shock.” She ended up writing “I have no words. Reluctantly, I will admit it, I love you, Harry!

On Sunday, Ariana Grande will return to Manchester to perform a benefit show, in which she will be joined by Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Pharrell, Coldplay and more. “We won’t let hate win,” Grande said in a statement following the attack.
