We all love Disney movies, and how couldn’t we? They sure know how to capture people into their magnificent stories. We all feel part of them, and especially when you see the work of Jirka Väätäinen, a Finland-based artist that made Disney villains come to life.
Väätäinen is a 26-year-old digital artist, known for bringing Disney characters to real life. He started with princess and princesses, but just in time for Halloween he released his villains’ collection. His work consists of digital portraits but they are so well done they look real, you might think these characters live between us.
In order to create his beautiful portraits, he paints by hand using Photoshop. Not surprise he has a huge fanbase and keeps attracting people into it.
This time he released villains like Jafar from Aladdin and Hans from Frozen.
His work is impressive. Many fans claim that there are similarities between the villains and certain celebrities.

“It was a vision in my mind, and not based on a single celebrity” he explains.

He works in Helsinki, where his studio is. Although his pieces come from his own mind, he does find inspiration looking at photographs, he admitted to always being interested in the way people look.

“I combine, manipulate and blend together elements, textures and features from dozens and dozens of real-life photos to come up with this vision of mine,” the artist added
Hans from Frozen
Fans requested him to bring back to live characters like Scar from The Lion King.
Maleficent from The Sleeping Beauty
He portrays vivid images.
Gaston from The Beauty and the Beast
Fans just keep trying to find similarities with certain people.

His vision is really accepted.
