Catherine Zeta-Jones Defends Her Husband With Claws After Accusations

Michael Douglas Denied The Sexual Accusations Made Against Him

The actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has responded against the accusations made against her husband. Calling them “erroneous and false.”

In an interview that publicly endorses 73 years old Hollywood legend Michael Douglas, his wife, the Welsh actress admitted that both she and the rest of her family had been surprised and devastated after the claims.

Unstoppable Zeta-Jones

Last week, Hollywood legend Douglas Michael had to deal with an imminent accusation of sexual harassment against him. He chose to speak before the case was made public and dismiss it as “a complete lie.”
“He was very, very upset,” said his loyal wife, who has been married to Douglas for 17 years.
“Anything like that, that is wrong and false, would take anyone by surprise.”

Statements by Douglas

Michael Douglas denied having made any sexual act in front of a former employee more than 30 years ago after a woman will report that event to the entertainment group The Hollywood Reporter.
In the statements given in Deadline, the actor from Wall Street reported that “It is extremely painful. I have no skeletons in my closet, or anyone else to come out or say this.”
He argued, “The most painful part is having to share something like this with his wife and children. My children are really upset.”
The actress Zeta-Jones said: “I’m glad that the story has not been clarified.”
“It was an imminent accusation. I am very happy that Michael made a preemptive move.
“This was something that supposedly happened 30 years ago and it was baseless. Michael needed to take that position.”

#MeToo

This claim tops the list being the most recent in this wave of historical accusations made after the #MeToo campaign. It started after the sex scandal of acclaimed Hollywood director Harvey Weinstein. These types of accusations seem to go out of style.

Catherine Zeta-Jones of 48 years old, has openly supported this new movement led by Hollywood stars in the Golden Globes, wearing black for the cause.

“There is no one to support the #MeToo movement more than me and my husband,” she told The Mirror. “Pappy, as we call him, was really excited,” she said.
“It was so wonderful to see the genuine respect and love for him because he’s just a wonderful inspiration.”

Following the family business

In addition, it is expected that his children, Dylan of 17 years and Carys of 14 years, join the line of the business family. Since both are interested in the world of acting.
“I have invested a lot of time when I could have gone and done a lot of things. I knew the value and importance of those formative years,” said the proud mother.
And the rewards are now so evident in their maturity and intelligence. “My son has just entered a very good university. We are very, very happy with that. My daughter is also close.”

The ‘royal’ family

Douglas father, the living legend, belonging to Hollywood royalty, 101-year-old Kirk received a standing ovation when he appeared with Catherine Zeta-Jones on the stage of the Golden Globes. What pride is to have Kirk even among this type of shows.

“So, what is important to me is they and the family unit that I fought to support myself.
“I’m like a lioness around her. I tell them: ‘Do not wake the lioness’ and laugh at me.”
She also said: “Just get ready for two other Douglases to come.”
“You’re hearing it first from a very proud and biased mother, but I call it that. They both want to be in the business and both want to be actors.”
She and her children still come back to Wales often. Enjoying a fun two-week annual vacation, where they share outside the Hollywood cameras to devote more time to the family.
“I am very Welsh. I am still a British citizen and I am very patriotic. But I must say that the United States has been incredibly kind to me and my dreams have been fulfilled here.”
We will soon see this talented actress in the television movie called Cocaine Godmother, playing the real-life drug queen called Griselda Blanco, who smuggled cocaine with women, children and the elderly from Colombia to the United States.
