Beyonce and husband Jay-Z welcomed their twins to their family. According to multiple sources as well as outlets, the singer gave birth earlier this week.
However, the only confirmation so far is from Beyonce’s dad, who posted a welcome card in social media. In the meantime, the Internet has basically shut down with the news.
The Beyhive has grown by two
On Saturday, it was announced that Beyonce has reportedly given birth to twins. The news comes following a week of expectation and doubts.
Earlier this week, reports ran suggesting that the apparently increased security around the UCLA Medical Center in L.A. indicated that the “Lemonade” singer had given birth.
Others argued that media reports that Bey’s sister, Solange, was spotted at the hospital on Thursday indicating that the twins had arrived.
Then, Jay-Z fueled rumors when he failed to attend the Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards on Thursday night, although he was due to be honored.
Finally, on Sunday Bey’s dad, Matthew Knowles, became the first member of the family to confirm to the world the birth of a set of twins. He posted a birthday card to his twin grandchildren on social media.
However, official confirmation hasn’t landed yet. And considering that Beyonce and Jay-Z are usually tight-lipped about their personal lives we’ll have to wait a bit.
The couple waited years to release footage of their wedding and weeks to confirm the birth of daughter Blue Ivy, who is now 5.
Either way, welcome twins!
Those were the days of pregnant glam
Beyonce and Jay-Z first announced the pregnancy through an elaborate photo shoot posted on Instagram on February.
The news clearly broke the Internet and excitement got the best of us. The Carters didn’t announce delivery date nor gender of the twins.
During her pregnancy, the singer carried on with performances until March, when she canceled her headlining appearance at Coachella.
Even when she kept it easy when it comes to working, she graced us with her maternity style and several photo shoots throughout her pregnancy. Some including her eldest daughter Blue Ivy.
The Queen celebrated her baby shower bash past May 20, at her Beverly Hills home. The baby shower was dubbed “The Carter Push Party” and included a photo shoot, clearly.
The party was attended by A-list friends and family. Including, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the pregnant tennis star Serena Williams.
The arrival of the twins wraps up Hollywood twins season. A few weeks ago another Hollywood power duo welcomed their bundles of joy in London, as George and Amal Clooney received their twins, Ella and Alex.
