Have you ever heard about Siena? Well, it’s a city on Tuscany, Italy. The historic center of Siena was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This city is famous for its gastronomy, museums, and its culture. But Siena also has one of the most important photography prices worldwide. Siena International Photo Award has turned into one of the most important contest, with more than 100 countries submitting and a lot of photographers of each country. Siena International Photo Award give recognition to those photographers that have made a good shot, and that show another perspective about reality. This contest is divided into several categories

Siena International Photo Award gives recognition to those photographers that have had good shots, and that show another perspective about reality. This contest is divided into several categories as: open color, people, and portrait, travel, nature, architecture, among others.The preparation of this contest takes almost a year. The photographers have to submit in December of the previous year.

The contest was conceived last year and won a lot of popularity. The process takes about a year, but in 2016 is when the jury will see all the photos and some of them will classify to the semifinal which is announced the first of June, and at the end of the month they announce the finalists. The finalists have to upload the HD files. Finally, at the end of July, the results are announced; and the winners also have to wait until October to obtain their award.
