American Horror Story, so many mixed feelings towards that show; and it’s creator Ryan Murphy. The FX show first dazzled us with three spectacular seasons, having the amazing touch to include some real stories and actual haunted places and tales. Now with the upcoming season 7, there is a bit of expectation for the first time in a while. Especially since not even Ryan Murphy can hold his excitement about the new monster for the upcoming season.
Should we get our hopes high? Murphy, for an unknown reason, tends to develop the perfect starting steps for his shows, before then turning them into something terrible. It happened to American Horror Story, Glee and pretty much everything else he has done. Despite that it might have been the last good season, season 3 was the hint that not so bright times were coming fro AMH. Since it already had the teen drama that will later turn into Scream Queens. But even though season 4 and was the last one that actually got a fair enough reception, it was boring. Like a creepier less awkward version of Glee. So what will actually happen?
There’s change coming with this new season
Now season 7 is coming, and Murphy will try to recover the lost ground to reestablish the show to its glorious days. So what will happen? Well, there is a bit of expectative with this one. For many many fans, what has been missing is Jessica Lange, and supposedly they’re trying to get her back. Still, nothing has been confirmed. But just to watch her badass attitude and always classy looks will surely help boost the show’s rankings.
Since Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are the only two major “American Horror Story” classic actors that have been confirmed for Season 7. Probably because the show will do a major turn. Taking on some storylines arcs and hitting them hard, in an attempt to bring the old glory days back. As the upcoming 7th season has been said that will be a blend of season 1, “Murder House,” and season 3’s, “Coven,” storyline. Obviously, this is a double edge weapon, since it can backfire destroying two of the best and most beloved seasons of the show. Despite that producers haven’t revealed how they will be puzzled together.
Which character will each actor play?
We don’t really know if that means Paulson will be playing Cordelia or Peters Tate or Kyle. Who knows? in AHS every character can be easily brought to live. Maybe Gabourey Sidibe will also be back with her “Coven” character, despite being killed off in Season 5 during a guest appearance on “Hotel“. Also, we don’t know when the show will be released. Since traditionally AHS used to premiere on the first week of October, until season 6 that was released in September. To add to our doubts we don’t know if the show will have 10 episodes, like the last season, or the traditional 12. We believe they will pick the shorter version format and the September release.

Murphy-ed into a monster
Like we said before the one who is most excited about the new season is Ryan Murphy itself. To the point that he has been sharing some sneak peaks about the show. But now he has revealed the most important one, the monster. As he posted a very disturbing but legit concept art of it, on his Instagram account. As it’s a cross over into Dumbo’s drunken dream elephants and The Joker. Really messed up. But this character has a more political tone than any other.
Maybe we don’t know when the new season of the show will premiere, but we definitely know when it’s set up. Since the new season is going to start on Election Night 2016, probably U.S’s darkest one in their history. Being the night that Donald Trump, the showman, surprised the world and beat Hillary Clinton, an experimented politician, to become the 45th President of the United States, a.k.a. the world’s most powerful man. The main relationship is that the monster has an elephant head, being the elephant the animal that represent Republicans (Trump’s party). Maybe there will be a creepy donkey-headed monster too. Since it seems that this monster had something to do with the result or simply the character resemble him.
The ‘dark night’ is this season plot
As murphy will surely use this “dark night” for many Americans and the upcoming season to mirror the spooky reality that Trump’s election has left. Since in his administration, there has been a lot of controversies where Murphy can get inspiration. Like the North Korea situation, the Muslim ban, the Healthcare situation, hate crimes, and more.
As he told E! Online: “The first 10 minutes of the season, this season, takes place in a very eerie macabre way on election night and there’s something terrible that happens in the lives o f our characters on election night as they’re watching it all go down. Which in itself was a horror story, so it’s like a horror story upon a horror story”. But he won’t have actors playing Trump or Hillary. So we will have to wait and see which direction the show takes, and most importantly if it works or not.
