Cool and exciting news coming up.
Ed Sheeran just released not one, but two new songs, that are a part of his third studio album which will be released later this year. As he had announced on New Year’s eve via Instagram he dropped the new tracks on Friday, and we couldn’t be more excited!
After spending over a year in silence, Ed finally revealed his new songs and it Turns out that the mysterious posts with quotes on a blue background on his IG account were in fact, previews of his new music. Can he be more adorable and cool?
Shape Of You.
Ed delivers a quite different sound with this song, that will have you dancing and hitting repeat over and over again. Cool graphics accompany the tropical beat and the lyrics that are just addictive. People seem to be enjoying Ed’s new sound because the video has over 2 million views already.
Ed’s back for good.
Ed drops this new single and lets us now he’s back for good. With a breezy and lusty groove, the synthesized beat has a partyish soul. Ed gives a change to his usual sound while he describes finding love in a nightclub. The new twist is a success, wich is no shocker since we’re used to Ed delivering huge records.
Interesting information.
As part of the promotion of the new song Ed gave an interview with BBC Radio 1, and he explained the different sound he brings. He said that he wrote this song at a writing camp and he thought it would go to an artist such as RiRi. But then he decided to keep it for himself.
Great choice Ed, because you totally nailed it!
Castle On The Hill.
This second track is more like Ed’s style. With a more rocky feeling, a powerful melody and a killing chorus we can say that Ed is simply awesome. This Brit redhead can rock both a groovy song and a more mellow one. This one also has over 2 million views.
Rediscovering the innocence.
The video beautifully illustrates the song and gives us a more familiar Ed to enjoy. On a blue background, the video portrays the journey to rediscover the innocence of youth’s days, with black and white images.
The feels.
This song reminds us the melodies that brought Ed to stardom but with a more rocky sound. While taking back to Ed’s childhood memories, we can’t help but agree that the redhead’s musical evolution keeps getting better and better.
After a long wait.
2016 was a year of musical silence for Ed, and hell, we missed him! Ed spent most of 2016 on a break from literally all social media and the spotlight to try to soak in everything he lived in the past five years, and also to work on his third album. On December 2015 he announced the break via IG in the cutest way.
New Year, new music.
He turned into IG to let us know he was back! First, he posted a quick video announcing new music coming up on Friday, and then he posted mysterious videos and quotes that turned out to be the new songs.
Confirming he’s the sweetest human being.
He then confirmed he’s the cutest and kindest ever and said that he would release not one, but two tracks since he was away for so long. The two songs immediately shot to No. 1 and No. 2 on iTunes, and are both part of Ed’s third studio album which may be called Divide, if he continues with the mathematical sign-themed.
Now he dropped some tracks, everybody’s excited!
